Grateful Dead
Come on Mr. Rhino at least Six more.
Love some 67 shows too.
and Four From the Vault (1973?)
With all the great shows that are already in circulation and available from one source or another, I'm not too specific about what I'd like to see come out. Just for my own personal satisfaction, I hope that some day they release a show that I was at.
Summer '85 would be a great place to start.
Have a soft spot for this one...
It's hard for me to pick because I'm not to sure what's in there. I know some of what's been brought up isn't actually in there and this is according to Dick and David. The Greek '81 doesn't exist in the the vault as well as a lot of the Betty Boards that have been in circulation. Most of 1979 to 1981 is not in there and what is has a lot of problems with tape running out and such. I would like to say I agree with the idea that the Dead should cut out all the limited edition crap as all that does is reward the person with the most money who can buy fourty copies and then turn around and sell them for a fortune on eBay when they're not Heads anyway.
11/11/73. Amazing through and through.
hoosker
Agreed - got to tape it from radio; Garica on Blackbird where he hits that one note......ohhhhhhh my...and Brokedown is one of the finest.
Grate Show!!
So many great shows from so many great years make it a tough gig.
"I primarily like shows from 69 through 74 and 77, but also like shows from 87 to 90."
Couldnt agree more.
And dont forget the sublime '76, rocking '78-'79; '82, '85.
JEEZ,
but dont get me wrong, I am extremely grateful for those that looked to the future in the past so we could have what we have.
Cheers!

“The Omnipotent Grateful Dead!”
Just dreamin' here. I know we already have great Dick's Picks and Downloads, etc., from '77 and '72, but a cool post-9/03/77 release in time for it's anniversary would be fitting. And for '72, though maybe a little too tight on the heels of FTV 3, 6/26, a sweet 8/27/72 whole-nine-yards package would be sublime. Most important, a 40-year anniversary package of post-9/03/67, "primal" Dead would surely re-open the eyes of perception nicely. I realize, of course, that if none of these has been in the works, it is not going to happen...but there's always '78, '73 and '68, verdad? What ev's, so be it, fare ye well - I'll just keep dreamin'. Gracias por todo.
"From day to day, just lettin' it ride,
You get so far away from how it feels inside,
You can't let go, 'cause you're afraid to fall,
But the day may come when you can't feel at all."
I would like to see what else they can salvage from the Houseboat Tapes that Jerry gave Keith from the 1971 Fall Tour. I love this time period right before they took off for Europe and would like to see some releases perhaps the rest of the Pallidium run in August would be nice.
Definitely a great show from the later years. I love the UJB jam out into drumz. Wonderful solid playing.
Also...The Winterland Box, Sunshine Daydream DVD, the Fall '79 shows, and a pass through some of the great summer '76 shows.
