The Dead Covers Project
What a wonderful month it's been, sharing our love of the Grateful Dead through song and video! We applaud all the hard work and effort that you, the fans, put into the DEAD COVERS PROJECT, and we hope you'll continue to watch and support all the amazing participant videos on YouTube until we fire up the DEAD COVERS PROJECT again next February.
Throughout the month of April, we'll be shining our lovelight on a handful of artists that really made the grade. You'll get to know each of these five artists and find out just what made them connect with the Dead in our exclusive DEAD COVERS PROJECT profiles, but for now we'd simply like to congratulate the following participants (in no particular order)...
Now Playing In The Band...
The project may be over for 2012, but you can continue to check out some of the "Top Rated" videos that were submitted and "Like" them here.
What great improvisation! I would never expect to hear this song this way-that's what good musicians are about I guess!!Anyone can play copy tunes note for note. Please vote like on YouTube so they can become one of the featured videos. This band is too good not to get the publicity!!
Just skip to :50 for Deep Elum
Just needed to say that whoever came up with idea for this project, I tip my hat to you to give all these guys this exposure. It is just incredible the level and amount of just awesome talent out there spreading the love and music of Jerry and the Dead. Everyday great new posts. The Giving Tree Band really blew me away, just awesomeness!!
They should keep this thing going as regular feature and keep the music flowing.
Peace, Love and the Grateful Dead!!!!
And now I really bid you goodnight.
Just before the deadline,

SWAMPDADDY opened for Johnny Winter in 2007 on the island of Kauai. Our friend Bill Kreutzmann was in the audience and thoroughly enjoyed this arrangement. We have since played this several times with BK on drums. Please check it out & "like" it if you do. Swampdaddy-WangDang/TheOtherOne/Wang
