Rock Legends to Play Obama Fundraiser

The Pennsylvania Campaign for Change has just announced a Monday, October 13 concert fundraiser to benefit Obama for America featuring many Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees and other American music icons. Additionally, the show will be a very large voter outreach opportunity for the Pennsylvania Obama campaign, which has already built the largest volunteer-based campaign in Pennsylvania’s history. The campaign has more than 70 field offices and thousands of volunteers preparing for an unprecedented Get Out the Vote operation. There are now more than 1 million more Democrats in the state than Republicans, an increase of 500,000 since 2004.

Tickets will be available at 12:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 19, and are $50 for the general public and $30 for University Park students with a Pennsylvania State University ID. More ticket information is available online at:

never forget...

greetings all deadheads..gay or straight..repup or dem..conservative or liberal..rich or poor..stoned or sober... or whatever nationality you may be..sound waves may be invisible to the naked eye,but not the minds eye..never forget what brought us all together in the first place(including the boys)..we all have a passion for music thats transcendal..music that messages our souls, and awakens the tao in all of us..which makes us all walking roses..remember family,we are not going to have the same views,i remember at rainbow gatherings we would pass the feather around and try to make sense of our differences..it was truely amazing how differences were resolved in conscience so peacefully...lol,ive never been the same since..my point is that,we have to respect our differences..i love showers..some people didnt..so what!..unfortunately i wont be in pa..but i hope all respects the venue and not recreate the chaos of deercreek..so mabey more shows will happen in the future..i have faith in all though,we will survive.
through this world of trouble,we gotta love one another -JGB

money and politics are a drag.....

so when they're not giving money for nancy pelosi they are raising bread for barrack obama. all of of this politicizing will go down as a mistake. it's already got everyone fighting. what next? they gonna start promoting religion? what a drag man. stick to the music. anyone who thinks one political party is better than the other is friggin blind man.

jerry said it best: "the problem with choosing the lesser of two evils is you're still choosing evil."

I guess it doesn't really matter...anyway...

Yes but

If Michael Palin is elected, will the inauguration feature a performance of The Fish Slapping Dance?

Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

I don't see the reverse socialsim

If that were true, then why are so many comapnies moving their operations offshore? I know the answer, it is because it is to expensive to operate here, but the governement is not controled by the corps. The gov. in many cases are driving the companies away.

Members of the government may be, but not the government as a whole. With the influence of corperate influence, you also have to take into account special interests who are even worse. While, corperations trying to influence the governement may be somewhat of a problem, they are actually distracted from time to time because they have a business to run....Special interests make bitching to the government a full time job, so in my opinion, they are worse.
