Wow, that first set from Unkle Sam sounds fantastic, in particular Silvio. I have caught Dylan doing it a couple times and it has been the highlight of the shows. That second set sounds like a bit of a slow one and I am hopeful the Chicago 3/2 show is a bit more rockin'. "Shakedown" and "He's Gone" are fine openers, but that middle area is a bit.... slow. My friend who attended his first Dead-related show of any sort in Chicago last spring felt the Dead did a few too many ballads-- I am trying to turn this guy, so he needs a rocker to hook him. I felt it was a great show last year and am really looking forward to Furthur.

Anyone care to guess who the "Friends" could possibly be for this show in San Fran? Beyond the obvious - Jackie Green, RatDog, other Phil and Friends folks?? "Here's my half a dollar if you dare .. double twist when you hit the air. Look at Julie down below .. the levee doing the dopaso"

...and burn. If Furthur goes on past the winter it will be so righteous down the stretch. You know this thing is on automatic pilot with momentum and the next time it pops a gasket it's all she wrote. I, for one, appreciate all the efforts made before this vehicle kind of mosies off to the sideline and bumps up against a redwood (gently) and finally comes to a complete stop. Let their be a stone marker erected at that spot: ~ The kids they danced & Shook their bones. ~ (%);~} ...twirling, twirling, twirling to a beautiful sunset

Manana Lyrics She said I can't go back to America soon It's so goddamn cold it's gonna snow until June Yeah, they're freezin' up in Buffalo stuck in their cars And I'm lyin' here 'neath the sun and the stars. Customs man tell her that she's gotta leave She's got a plan hidden up her shrewd sleeve Wants to find her a captain, a man of strong mind And any direction he blows will be fine. Please don't say manana if you don't mean it I have heard those words for so very long Don't try to describe the ocean if you've never seen it Don't ever forget that you just may wind up being wrong. Tried and I tried but I don't understand Never seems to work out the way I had it planned Hanging out at a marina when Steve Martin called Singin' anybody there really want to get small. But women and water are in short supply There's not enough dope for us all to get high I hear it gets better, that's what they say As soon as we sail on to Cane Garden Bay. Please don't say manana if you don't mean it I have heard your lines foe so very long Don't try to describe the scenery if you've never seen it Don't ever forget that you just may wind up in my song. Called all my friends on those cheap nightly rates Sure was good to talk to the old United States While the lights of St. Thomas lie twenty miles west I see General Electric's still doing their best. I've got to head this boat south pretty soon New album's old and I'm fresh out of tunes But I know that I'll get 'em, I know that they'll come Through the people and places and Caldwood's Rum So please don't say manana if you don't mean it I have done your lines for so very long Don't try to describe a Kiss concert if you've never seen it Don't ever forget that you just may wind up being gone And I hope Anita Bryant never does one of my songs I love you Jimmy --------------------{-------@ Or was it, See Ya Tommorow? The bus flew by and I got on.... I think the ghost of Cowboy Neal was there at 1st Bank Center in Broomfield Colorado Saturday night 3/6/10. He and some fat cat in beard and glasses were sharing a bone. At any rate, this was a great show with lots of fun surprises, and probably the best line-up we've seen yet. Bob and Phil are haing fun and it shows. Epic Morning Dew in the second set. Nice cover of Time, too, with Jay Lane singing. Jeff Chementi blew the roof off on Sugaree. My, that country boy sure can play. Ripple brought unbidden tears to my eyes. Till The Morning Comes got a worthy workout, and Cumberland Blues rocked well outside the lines. Throw in a Dark Star, or two, a tight raging Let it Grow, a gorgeous And We Bid You Goodnight, and a dozen other wonderful things, and you have a rare and different tune, once again. All I can say is go see Furthur!

In Memorial for~Ron and Jerry and ALL the other ones~ Rock one out for them at THE SHOW TONIGHT! I have coastal wrongsidedness, so from SBDen sage laden air in the East X~~~~~~~~~~~ Pslam 23 The Lord is my shephard, I shall not want . He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil for You are with me; Your rod and staff they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow all of the days of my life. And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Pslam 24:3/5 Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? And who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a prue heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood And not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the Lord. It's hard to express how much we dislike The Spamming, so many ppl have already said it so well. Marye, feel free to nuke this post too. I only wish it would work as a deterrent. Conversation is always more interesting than recitation, so speak your mind and not someone else's.

I decided the morning of the show to get tickets. I brought my wife and 2 year old. This was my first show since the Other Ones with Rusted Root at Shoreline. My wife had never before been to a "Dead" show, but she likes the music (years of inundation). The traffic was bad near the stadium, the lines were long, We got in a few minutes into Half Step. The music was on fire and LOUD. The weather was great. My son was really getting down, especially the bluesy songs. The most important aspect for me was the community. Seeing all my brothers & sisters, wearing smiles and many a little older, greyer and with little ones. During the 2nd set, a kind neighbor gave my son and some nearby little girls near us a bunch of glow ring bracelets. My son proceeded to give his to the girls, one by one. The last one, he grabbed my hand to walk down the steps as their backs were turned. A few minutes later, the girls came back with a necklace they had made from the bracelets (The Unbroken Chain) and put around his neck and said to me "We made this for him, he can keep it." My eyes welled up with tears and they did again when I wrote this. I enjoyed this show so much that we're planning a trip to Denver to visit some friends, and see the Friday show at Red Rocks (never been and can't wait). THANK YOU FURTHUR, THANK YOU FAMILY!

Yeah that is a great story. I like bringing my 6 year old daughter just to watch her play and interact with the other kids. It is really cute watching them dance and blow bubbles and play together. I've noticed (at the concerts I go to at least) that the children are so amazingly generous and kind to each other, we could all learn something from them =) "Lazy lightning you say you never strike the same place. I want a double dose in any case" ... "You got to hear my supplication. Got to hear me now. A little bolt of inspiration"
