Our friends the Rhinos have various and sundry new releases in the development process, but they're always interested in hearing what you'd like to see hit the virtual shelves of the Store. No promises, but you never know...

This topic is for requesting new individual shows. There are also topics for box sets and DVDs.

If you've already requested something in the previous Requests topic, you don't really need to request it again, but hey, if you just can't help yourself...

There was one show I had on cassette, which I unfortunately lost a couple years back. I'm not positive of the exact date, but I know it was from spring 73 (May, I think). The setlist was Weather Report Suite prelude->Dark Star->Eyes Of The World->Playin In The Band. I know this is really vague, but I'd sure like to have that on an official release. Beyond that, I would want to see more stuff from summer 67-69. Anything that's got the side one songs from Anthem Of The Sun would be welcomed by me. Also, I'd really love if someday the original mix of Aoxomoxoa and the remix of Anthem Of The Sun (the one I know from my 80's era copy of the album) could be released. I know that's unlikely to ever happen, but it would be cool if they could at least some day be offered as downloads or something.

Thanks for the heads up!I don't have that one, but a few days later, 05/15/77 - good show, imho, but some fidelity issues with it -- just not perfect, and it is a soundboard. I'd love to grab a good audience recording somewhere, and I know I'd enjoy it, as I do with almost all of May `77 shows. Unforunately, I was not able to tour at that time, way back in the killer month of May `77.

8/27/72 wouldn't be the worst release, but there is an A SBD already circulating, so I would put other shows in front of it. To begin with, how about 5/12/77? I know you have it in the vault as you have streamed part of the second set in the Taper's Section. The fact that no SBD is in circulation should be reason enough, but if it isn't, the show is a keeper from a killer era.

It probably has been posted before, but I would like to see the Woodstock show 08/16/69 officially released. Perhaps the complete Saint Stephen is on the master reels. Also; 08/27/72 and more from 1968

I’m thinking based on the clue offered for Dave’s 50, specifically the reference to “show (shows…?)” and the timing being right,… leads me to believe the show is the Watkins Glen summer jam and the bonus disc is the sound check. I did some quick math at archive.org and it looks like the show would fit on three discs with about 15 min to spare, and that the sound check would almost fit on one, with the need for last song on the other discs.

As is well known, there are Owsley tapes for both days and even though widely available (in so so quality) already, this show deserves the official release, plangent process and all. Here’s hoping I’m right on this guess.
