was the whole site actually offline/down earlier (about 24 hours ago) or was I unable to see everything because of 'heavy traffic' like the apology page said?
it wasn't just this site, it was a server meltdown further up the corporate food chain. And yeah, down. For extended periods.
I haven't heard any reports since it was up. Whether heavy traffic was a contributing factor, I can't say; there certainly WAS heavier traffic the last few days since the Road Trip announcements, but what else was going on I dunno.
Anyway, fingers crossed for a bit more stability.
I was trying to post this in the positive vibes area a few times, it kept giving me a message about the proxyserver... something or other. if it makes it here--first time I ever saw that message; please move it.
