"Live Dead" Jcards

I also am looking to aquired Jcards so that I can clean up my collection of GD tapes. Does anybody have any info on the JCards that seemed to be mass produced specifically for Dead tapes? They often had "Live Dead" or some variation of that, printed on the spine and a stock photo of either Jerry, Bobby, or Phil on the front. Any info on these types of Jcards, or any other mass produced GD J cards would be very much appreciated.

J-card art

As much as the digital age has allowed the old tapes to be cleaned up and made to sound better on cd or through a computer, it does not sound right until it is put onto tape and played through a vintage system with old cabinet speakers. At least that is my preference.

That said, I resurrected my tape collection and have been able to acquire a ton of killer tapes. I am looking for blank/templets for j-card inserts. I have hundreds of tapes that need them so I am open to any designs or leads.

Thank you,
Steve

Deadlists

The Deadlist project is also a great resource - posters, handbills and tickets for almost every show as well as setlists...they are amazing there.

Try the Shows & Lyrics section on this page (Look Up). Float your cursor over it, then go to 'Shows by Year', pick a year, then a show. The set list is usually integrated into that show page, or someone has kindly placed it in the comments (thanks hockey_john).

Best source for set lists?

Hi there,

I don't know if this is the right place for this question but figured someone here would know the answer...

I am wondering what the best source for complete Grateful Dead set lists is? A friend used to have the entire Deadbase memorized. It was amazing, you could test him!!

I see there is Taper's Compendium as well (volumes 1-3???), and my friend said this is more complete?

What say youz?

Thanks guys!

The vineyard might be your cup of meat. There's lot's of good stuff in there and you just need to add your name to the list!
P.S. Nevermind, I see you've discovered this!

Looking for anything

Looking to get back into trading but I have none of my old tapes and virtually nothing on CD that isn't an authorized release. Willing to do blanks plus postage to anyone willing to set me up with anything they have. I am even willing to do extra blanks plus postage for your effort if that is ok.

I am spoiled by the official releases so SBD and high quality is really what I am looking for. Once I have some shows I will share them with anyone who asks. I am partial to 1974, 77, 89, 90 - 94 but I would love anything anyone would be willing to burn for me.

I have a stack of 100 CD-R's sitting here ready to send out just PLEASE let me know!

Thanks!
