Is there any one show (GD) with the most Dylan covers? In case of multiple ties, which were the best shows en toto and which show had the best and most Dylan covers? Thanks!

I've always spelled it "Aiko"...anyway, Donna shared vocals from May 1977 thru 2/4/79. Did the XM Iko feature Jerry with Donna or Brent on vocals? Was it an opening song or in a sandwich? I'm particularly fond of this show from 5/15/77 >> http://www.archive.org/details/gd1977-05-15.mtx.sirmick.91911.sbeok.fla…

Howdy, I heard a smokin' Iko Iko last November on the XM Dead Channel but cannot figure out where it's from. I've emailed them a few times with no response. It was played on 11/12 at 9:40 a.m. and I MUST have it! Any suggestions on how to figure it out? Many thanks....

There's a lot of history and bad feelings and misunderstandings and water under the bridge over this issue, but the short version is that soundboard recordings are only streamable on the Archive. It looks like several versions of this show circulate, however. You might try asking around here, in appropriate places, if anyone has this show and would be willing to share. I was wondering, this show is listed on the archive: http://www.archive.org/details/gd71-12-10.sbd.yerys.1311.sbeok.shnf But there does not appear to be a downloadable version/lossless? Is that right, only streamable? Someone mentions in the posts about downloading, but I do not see any files available other than the streams? Is there another source I can look up? Thank

Probably one of the following 3 shows from 1971. I've included the songs played with it. It was played 6 times in 1970 but I believe always as a stand alone. 12/10/71: Truckin' [7:59] > Drums [3:26] > The Other One [13:35] > Sittin' On Top Of The World [2:53] > The Other One [6:02] > Not Fade Away [6:01] > Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad [6:18] > Not Fade Away [1:00#] 12/5/71: Dark Star [8:27] > Me And My Uncle [2:31] > Dark Star [12:23] > Sittin' On Top Of The World [4:16] 10/21/71: Dark Star (1) [15:09] > Sittin' On Top Of The World [3:16] > Dark Star [2:03] > Me And Bobby McGee [5:56]

OK, I had a tape way back in high school, it was of a Dead show that was from 1970 or 1971. On it was the most blistering, energy driven version of "sittin on top of the world" I have ever heard. It was part of a segue, from what and into what I do not remember. I would love to find that show again, it was through the roof. TIA, Henry

I'm working on a project where I want to attempt to archive Grateful Dead bootleg lot shirts. I would like to create a print publication as well as a website celebrating the lot bootleg shirt. I would also like to document the stories and lore behind the shirts. I would love to hear any stories about anyone funding their tour by selling shirts, stories from shirt creators, any crazy Dead bootleg story (favorite shirt, shirts tha led to introductions, crazy adventures, etc... Feel free to send me any pictures, stories, ideas, suggestions, etc.. Thanks! Peace.

A long, long time ago, when we listened to tapes, a friend of mine had this great show from (I think) May 1978. Here is what (I think) I remember:
Terrapin > Sunrise > Estimated, which were mind-blowing. Probably Donna's best Sunrise; will bring you to tears.
I'm fairly sure that Terrapin went straight in to Sunrise. But I'm sure that Sunrise went straight in to Estimated. I don't think it was edited that way.
They were playing these tunes a lot at that time, but I've combed through the archives and just can't locate a show with this sequence; my memories may be at fault.

Thanks!

In Deadbase X, the lists for all 30 Sunrises:
5-12-77 Estimated>Sunrise>Terrapin
5-22-77 Good Lovin'>Sunrise>Estimated
1-11-78 Samson>Sunrise>Terrapin
4-11-78 Fire>Sunrise>Terrapin
That's all that have either an Estimated or a Terrapin on either side.
So maybe that 5-12-77?
Cheers

Hey 1st Show!

Thanks for the assist; May 22 1977 is the one. Listening to it right now. You know what's wrong with that show? NOTHING! ;-) Many of the tunes played that night are easily top picks for me.

Does anyone have contact information for the photographer who was shooting family portraits at Laguna Seca in 1988? Today my daughter, who was three years old at those shows, mentioned that the post-show scene at those gigs is one of her earliest memories. I’d love to get a print of the photo that was taken by that photographer. Thanks!
