Took a me minute
But the Jam reminded me of a popular Dave's Pick from the same era...
By the way, anyone else hear the Caution Tease by Jerry in the new Dave's 48 during Other One? He almost gets there. Have fun today everybody!!
this must be heaven
quite a few gnarly post-Saint jams to sort through. some are really good.
this one stands alone in its uniqueness.

I got around it constantly happening to me by switching browsers. It seems to happen every time with Chrome. Not so much, if at all, with Safari (on a MacAir)...
EDIT: And now, to prove me wrong, it just went through with Chrome... Go figure...
Timeframe Posted
I’m sure this was asked but I didn’t see it. Do we know what time these clips are posted/uploaded for us to start guessing.
That being said, love todays clip! Tks Dave.
Time songs are posted
Barring any glitches (haven't had any this year), the songs show up at midnight, Pacific time.
Sometimes the webpage doesn't show the new song for me until I reload the page, or log in to my GD account, or change the date in the upper url.
Ummmm.............
Ok, thanks. Is there a 30 Days of Doors somewhere?
Time posted
is midnight? Lots of folks start early in the wee hours, but it doesn't change your chances.
This Saint was harder than it needed to be because of my methodology. Learned many years ago not to trust Deadbase or tapers labeling and go with the listen on archive. But I went through 30 before I realized my shortcut on listening doesn't always work. Labeling again but in a different context. I got it but I sure made it hard,
Cheers
jamstreams.net is a great…
jamstreams.net is a great source also. More user-friendly...
re: jamstreams.net is a great…
much appreciated ... learned a new resource today .. I wonder if it uses the most viewed (like the archive's player/Webamp ;-)
Another great resource
Hey now,
So great to learn all the different ways heads have found to play this game. I like using relisten.net. Learned about in this chat about 4 years ago. I just want to shout out to Charlie Miller, whose soundboard recordings show up all over the place. Thank you Charlie! Round and round and round and round, don't take much to get me on the ground!
Charlie Miller
I ended up downloading the whole show of my guess for yesterday's selection and I ended up with a Charlie Miller. Great stuff!
Don't get lost sailor.
I definitely did. Which is to say blissfully lost in this sweet piece of music. Just driftin' and dreamin' while the rain's fallin' down. Today's choice is appropriate in so many ways.
sync the rain falling down
wow as i listened to the sync before i made my entry the music after the rain doubled up was way cool. got lost doin it over a few times as it clicked.....i found it. while my research book just had a long saint, my sync app mentioned a particular jam, so the list got longer.
Really loving that its November again. Been keeping my own database since i started this path in 2014, back then i was 5-30, now i get at least 10...lmao
thanks everyone and especially gd staff
Is it just me, or....
Either I'm getting better at sussing things out, or this year's offerings have been real soft balls...so far
Old Down Loads
Anyone ever have this experience? My current downloads load right up and play but those from the previous several years just come up with an error.
Re: old downloads
No problem with mine. They all play fine. Hope you can sort it out!
No friggin clue.
This was super tough. Good job for those of you that figured this one out. I listened to 30+ sailor saints. Love this sequence and show. Thanks David!
Dumb Luck?
Either I've gotten good at this, or I just got lucky. Found it on my second try. Today's hint, along with Dead Pondo's, made it quick. The Comments section from the site many of us use was also helpful.
What a great month!
Tempo and Pitch
This should have been easy... alas, I ignored important clues and ended up going through the ages (and back) before finally stumbling on the obvious, one of the first that I had listened to but discarded as too fast. Well, I got to explore the changes over the years, and some other interesting jams along the way. Once dialed in, couldn't find a version that would sync; either the tempo or the pitch was off (made for some jarring listening at times).
Anyway, unique and familiar at the same time. Nice trick there, David. Thanks for the choice selection!
as soon as ....
I saw the choice, i thought it might be the very elusive 3/31/80 version !! ... (that would have been a great trick .. (please ... point me .. I'd love to hear how Lost Sailor ends at that show !))
just a few months prior to then , if you went on a 6 show tour, you might have caught 3 or 4 LS>S ...lol
...but alas..this one was easier than anticipated ... pcool version for sure ... the estimated gave it away for me ..
Knew it right away
The hint directed me to it before I even listened, but only because I'd heard it before (thanks to another DoD pied piper). It struck me then as so rare with that break between Sailor & Saint so hearing it again clinched it. And I do love that floating end jam to drift away on.
Thought I might never find..
This version is a certain sort of sound.
Just don't ever know what Dave's going to post next.
The 30 Days isn't heaven but it's close enough to pretend.
I've got a feeling I'm 6 for 6 but you sure don't ever know.
24 more Days, and I'm going to go for it for sure.
Good Luck all!
What else could be so fine!
Took a bit of time to make it to that last station on the line. Another favorite of mine even into the jam by HIM. Probably the first-time hearing that as a JAM. When you find it, you'll no longer be chasing this dream of entering today.... it's a GEM.... In my mind this is a COWBOY night, though you need to be careful on your VENUE selection.
A Birdland nod?
Anybody else hear that in the beginning of Saint, or the Pre-Saint Jam as it were, a little nod to Jaco Pastorius on Weather Reports' "Birdland"? Once I heard it, and can't seem to unhear it.
Am enjoying so far this year, but too busy to do the Search. Will catch up when things calm down!
