    Hey now sisterearth, I will be heading to the shows from Michigan also, from Ann Arbor, and am also looking into camping. So far all the sites I've found are at least an hour from Chicago. The best one being Illinois Beach State Park, from what I can tell. However I am going to continue to look into it.     Hello all! i am new to this particular ride sharing board. My name is Wavey Davey and i am desperately seeking a ride from the San Francisco area (anywhere in the general region) to Morrison Colorado (or surrounding areas i.e. denver...) for the run of String Cheese Incident shows beginning July 5th. I ALWAYS travel light (guitar, change of clothes) am rather cleanly and WILL PAY for Gasoline. I am well versed in the "rules of the road" and were i not so pressed for time could just plain hitch. If anyone has seen SPONGECAKE AND THE FLUFF RAMBLERS on the Furthur Lots and at after parties than you may know how important it is for me to get there and be with my band. I'm leaving from Raleigh/Durham (work in Raleigh/live in Durham) on July 1 or 2 (haven't decided/flexible). Unfortunately, I'm not coming straight back after shows, so I can only offer a one way ride. Splitting gas would be good. Email me at ed.norman@dhhs.nc.gov.

2 - 18 year old guys (just graduated high school and this road trip is their grad gift) both musicians/enthusiasts looking to rideshare from Los Angeles to Santa Clara or if that won't work they can get transportation there but looking to find camping or rooms to crash in for Saturday and Sunday. I am mom (helping to plan the trip) - Any help I can get would be so appreciated. Both are chill and very respectful...Fingers crossed.

Does anybody know of any farmers or landowners with fields or big backyards letting people pay to camp on their land for the Santa Clara shows? I have been searching the internet, if anybody knows some specific address or roads/crossroads where there will be field camping available please let me know.. Or just somebody willing to let a few of us camp in a backyard. PM me pls or reply... New to the site. There are probably more than a few people rolling down the road right now looking for a place to pitch a tent, park a bus, an RV or a car while en route to Chicago. We are on a patch of ground in Nor'western Illinois and have some room if folks need a place to stop for a few or overnight. The gate is open; we don't want anything in return (AKA - free). If there are any takers, we will rent a porta-pot. All we ask is that anyone stopping/staying treat the place with respect. Please let us know. J and T

Thought I'd re-post this one... If you're still on the road and looking for a place to stop along the way (for a few or overnight), a place to pitch a tent, park a bus, an RV or a car while en route to Chicago (we're out in the country, 140 miles northwest of the city). I got a DUI last month and already have my tix for the July 7th Dead and Company show at DTE Energy Music theatre. Not going to be able to drive to the show. It would be me and my girl, we are more then willing to throw down gas money, veggie burritos, etc. Thanks. -Knoxville
