By suggestion: "In an effort to learn more about the beers other deadheads are imbibing, I was wondering if we have/could have a forum for that."
Let the conversation begin!
Red Stripe
I have a shirt that says: 'Short and Stubby' and has a bottle of Red Stripe on it.
American Beauty
I picked up 3 large (21.5 oz) bottles as soon as the brew became available in my area (last week). The price per bottle is up there ($12.99 per bottle). Cracked my first bottle yesterday to celebrate a Monday bike excursion, and I am as we speak finishing off a jar I had remaining from the trip. 1 down, 2 bottles to go and I'd say it's a winner! The almond note really comes through in the initial tasting. I also appreciate the higher ABV count. The reddish hue reminds me of another IPA favorite, Sierra Nevada Torpedo. Bring on the sixers!
What's in my fridge?
Somehow, I don't think you mean that killer pot of homemade Ham & Potato soup that I just put away.
GLBC
almost anything from GLBC is the best. can't get it here in Tx without special delivery. Is Lake Erie Monster out yet? mmmmm. just finished my last Christmas ale hand delivered by a friend.currently in fridge? hodge-podge of shrapnel from various 6 packs...mainly big hopped IPAs.
beer in the lot
a friend of mine went to a Dead show with me 7/6/95 (his first). he was really struck by the really nice beer that everyone in the lot seemed to have. I had not thought about it until he brought it up. I'm wondering which breweries I'll see represented in Chi (assuming I still get my miracles of course). Cheers
fugetanoudit!
What's in MY fridge?Homemade gravey with pork chops, sausage and braised rib meat. ..on the bone of course!
Just made for the fam on Sunday. .. wanna trade some pre 78 dead for some frozen homemade gravey???
Mmmmmmmm lets do it
This is weird
In my fridge? That's not past expiration?Maybe I'm just too embarrassed to say PBR.
In honor of
St. Paddy's Day and today - 14.9 fl. oz. pasteurized stout, brewed in Dublin since 1759 (Mozart was three), Guinness Draught cans. My goodness, my Guinness! It's a good day to be a Guinness - be the Guinness. It's in the hole! 3/19/77 and Guinness? Works for me! Cheers.

I am heading down to the market in a bit and no doubt will pick up either a cookie or brownie for dessert. I am going mountain biking for the holiday and I always like to travel well. I've got one for YOU if you care to "hit the slopes" with me. Bring your backpack and your biking shoes! :-)
Happy and SAFE Fourth of July everyone!

Today went to Mirror Lake St. Park at dusk for a fried Chicken dinner and before that an afternoon of hiking along the Crawfish River in Dodge Co., WI. Finally got to stop in to see the nice trails there at a park I'd never visited but have happened upon several times whilst zipping through WI on WI-16 West.
Went to visit the folks this weekend and enjoy the 80% popping fall colors as much as I could before the snow flies here in WI.

Beer Camp 2016
If anyone wants to taste a fantastic IPA, give this year's Sierra Nevada Spring Seasonal a try. It's described as a tropical IPA, and I'd say it's a good description with citrus, papaya, and mango notes. What a tasty beer! Yum.
@mkav....Troegs.....
Nimble Giant.....
Try it, you'll like it.....
Chilling
I'll post this over here too, since there's this nice dedicated page.
There are so many excellent craft breweries around ATL that it is hard to narrow it down. I love a bright IPA like Creature Comforts Tropicalia, or Terrapin Hi-5. Sometimes I'm at the other ends of the rainbow, drinking a local porter or a gose. Orpheus, Second Self, Monday Night, and Sweetwater all make some great beers. But my current fave of all is a summer ale homebrew I made a few weeks ago featuring infused fresh ginger root. I got lucky making that one and I immediately made another batch because we (friends & neighbors) plowed through 5 gallons pretty fast.
mmm...beer...
In the fridge:
Summit Sága IPA (St. Paul, MN)
Bubbler Hefeweiss (New Glarus, WI)
Naked Lager (New Glarus, WI)
Torpedo Extra IPA (Sierra Nevada Brewing)
I tried some Terrapin beers last month when I was further south, and I agree Hi-5 is a very tasty IPA...
Georgia beers
The available selection keeps getting bigger and better. It's a good time to be a beer drinker.
I've got an eye out for Creature Comforts Bibo 6-packs but haven't scored any yet (I've had it on draft before).
I'm seeking some juicy cloudy style IPA from down east
I hear the cloudy juicy IPA from back east is good: haven't seen any in Colorado.Heady Topper has always been a fave, but my New Hampshire friend hasn't been able to buy any as it must fly off the shelves.
We do have several good breweries in Colorado, so here's a few in my frig:
Fate Brewing Osura Gose (sour), from Boulder
Funkwerks Dry hopped Provincial (sour), from Ft Collins
Odell St Lupulin (pale ale), from Ft Collins
Oskar Blues Beerito (mexican lager), from Longmont
Out-of-state beers:
Epic Sour Apple (Utah, but they might brew in Denver too)
Uinta Tangerine IPA, from Utah
Russian River Pliny the Elder IPA (down to my last bottle)
Triple score
Creature Comforts:Bibo Pilsner (6 pack)
Automatic Pale Ale (6 pack)
Tropicalia (6 pack)
bunch of English beers
Hobgoblin Ruby and Golden AlesSome Sainsbury IPA
Innis and something or other...
I'm on vacation in England and it's fun to try some of the local Ales, Beers, and Lagers! :-)
yeah, it was...
Down to my last saga now and it's time for bed...and a beer run tomorrow. And, a jump in the river, with a couple beers (ride down there with my bike)... Effin hot in Sheffield, and Effin hot here in WI (thanks God no flooding) :-)
saving my beer
In retrospect, saving my beer and my energy for tomorrow. Can't wait to ride!
Enjoying the day off !!!

Nancy's Cultured Dairy and Soy coupons
Hey now, all! I have some free and discount coupons for yummy Springfield Creamery products I am not able to use because the products are not available in my area. If anyone wants them, PM me your address. The coupons expire on 10-31-2016.
oh dear, that's a bad problem to have
No Nancy's in your area... Nancy's stuff is the best. For one thing, it is the only cream cheese I know of that does not have carob bean gum, guar gum, carrageenan, or other bogus thickener, but actually contains nothing but milk and cultures. (Also, my friend Jan works there, but that's another story.)
I recommend taking Wilfred up on his kind offer.
Guinness at the Moment
I essentially gave up drinking altogether when my wife got pregnant almost five years ago, and in that time my tastes in what beer I like has changed drastically. I used to be heavily into IPAs but now find them too bitter and/or hoppy. I live just outside of Baltimore City, and Charm City Meadworks has an excellent line of mead that's both enjoyable and refreshing. I just don't keep much alcohol in the house anymore; I much prefer listening to my records with my daughter.
cycled thru the filter of drinking the below
I have Rochester NY Wild Wing 7 % IPA with the cascade hop very tasty on a gorgeous august day stuck into October here in the MW Western Indiana about 25 miles from the IL border and 50 to Champaign Urbanna IL. Recently had Old 85 from Lafayette Brewing Company IPA 85% hops 6.6 %, and Mound Builder 6.7% from People's Brewing. This summer had a Great Lakes Commadore Perry IPA from Cleveland OH real good at 6.9 bpu's around 90 IBU
