    Dick Latvala was the guy.....
I listened to this show when it originally aired in 1995, and towards the end of it.... Dick gave his address to send him any recommendations. I sent him a letter thru snail mail, with my list of what I though would be great DP releases. Though when this was aired we were only on DP 2. He wrote me back a hand written letter, and it made my day because this guy took the time to write to a picky deadhead like me..... He got lots of great music out there for all of us. It was a bummer when he passed. He put some of my favorite releases out... Dick's Picks 4, 5, 7, 22 and the list goes on. But DP 2 was my favorite because he pulled this great show with a fantastic "Dark Star" out of a tour (Keith's first) that had many other highlights that would have been the popular picks. He had a good ear. It's great to see that David Gans and Lemieux are carrying it on. It's great to be a deadhead. We can always find something that's new to us. Trent
