Fall '77 Part 1: 9/29,10/9,10/11,10/14,10/29,11/1

Ok, we are all set on this vine. Along with the original shows of 9/29 Seattle, 10/14 Houston and 10/29 DeKalb, Yamadog has graciously offered to add 10/9 Denver, 10/11 Norman and 11/1 Detroit. The mail here in NYC takes forever so it will be at least until the middle of next week before I even receive the extra shows, so I am shooting for sending these out to our friend Richard right after the New Year.

FYI, as most of you probably know, much of the 2d set of 10/11 is commercially available as hidden tracks on DP's # 29 (discs 2 and 5, everything but the Est > Eyes). So that won't be on the vined discs.

Vine will be on its way to Richard on Wed. Everyone knows about 10/11 and 10/29, and I already mentioned the nice Franklin's on 9/29, so let me just say that 11/1 is a fine show, a little light on extended jamming, but high energy and rocked out all the same.

Sign me up, this is the good stuff. I will add November 2, 1977 to this vine. It was from the Seneca Field House Promised Land,TLEO,Me & My Uncle,Candy Man, LLRain, Ramble On, Lazy Lightning!,Might As Well, Samson & Delilah, Ship Of Fools, Good Lovin', Sunrise,Scarlet>Fire,Estimated, Saint Steven, Truckln', Around & Around, Terrapin Also, just so those in the beginning don't feel left out I will send a copy to the top of the list. I hope. Recieved a nice package of discs from Andy in yesterdays mail. (That is one of the very nice side benefits of vining. You get real cool mail. Not credit card applications, AARP ads, and other junk.) I will burn them Sunday and off to DOODah on Monday. Peace Rick

Uh, coincidence that the last post on the vineyard before the website announced Road Trips # 2 was on this, the Fall '77 board? Also, coincidence that the post was by Ltapilot who lives in Colorado, one of the shows featured on this vine AND the release? Also, coincidence that a "pilot" has no need for a "road?"

So - it looks like I'm becoming the Vine investigator - or at least I'm paying attention to what's going on. I sent Thomasdblls a PM & he responded on May 4. 3rd time's a charm - knock on wood. Another e-mail was just sent. Should it not receive a reply, dstache has volunteered his services to reseed his end of the vine - 9/29, 10/14, 10/29 and I have 10/11 - anyone got the other two? "Where does the time go?"
