    But dude, Red Rocks would be awesome! Not to Mention a short stint at Alpine Valley, or even helping the folks out down south in Texas, or who knows maybe even a new outdoor venue. I'm hoping everyone gets to see this band. Especially those who have been deprived! _____________________________________________ Will you come with me? Once in awhile you can get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right!

    I've seen Bobby hit the stage 13 times (Phil 11x) in the last 10 months (5x The Dead, 2x Ratdog, 6x Furthur) and to me the most magical part of those 13 shows has been Furthur, maybe not necessarily the "best" line-up but certainly the most magical. Why? Well it has to be John. Then add in that Phil and Bob are sounding and looking grate, playing loose and happy and with purpose it feels like. Add Jeff who very well may be the best Dead piano/keyboardist and Joe Russo who I thought was just such a strong drummer in the shows I caught and last but not least the ladies background voices = a super tight band radiating energy, love and just a real good time. We'll miss you Jay - good luck man! Finally my favorite part about Furthur is that they are full of surprises, one after another. They are just so much fun to see live... Mountain AIre would be so much fun ... man ... hmm.. Really hope to be able to catch some shows this summer. Come on guys - still plenty of slots open for a late summer 2 night (at least) run at Red Rocks ( ~ ) : } "Here's my half a dollar if you dare .. double twist when you hit the air. Look at Julie down below .. the levee doing the dopaso"

    Im lucky enough to have the summer tour roll right through my backyard this year!!! The boys are playing at the beautiful Lalaucher ballpark,(Where the triple A Red-Sox/Lowell Spinners) play -Right up the street from my house..WOO-HOO!!!Ive already designed some sweet Lowell Spinners/Dead themed stickers for the occasion...Hope to see you there...All General Admission...Ball-Park...Furthur....I'LL TAKE IT!!!!     We were fortunate enough to see Furthur in Manchester, Amherst, and at Mohegan Sun, and we love this band! John K is a great addition - he brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm along with his talent. I'm sorry we're losing Jay Lane, but I think the band will still go on strong. Looking forward to seeing them again in Lowell this summer!

    Finally, a Furthur Discussion!
    Thanks Marye, I love it. I saw the band grow all this year. First with the 2 shows at the Hammerstein in New York....I hadn't felt that good about a post Jerry band since the older Phil and Friends LIneUps. I remember the amazing feeling of the "It" factor in the music at those shows and every show they've had since the band just grew tighter and tighter. I was supposed to go to the NYE shows, but due to Mom's sickness, I was unable to go, and boy did I miss a doozy. The best part about it, is I rode the "Couch Tour" and listened over the internet. Every show it seemed the band was melding into what they are now....A really tight and amazingly powerful musical entity. As for the neigh sayers of John Kadlecik from DSO, something about a "fake Jerry", are now silent because they understand that he really is a true musician and is channeling Jerry (not being a fake one). No matter who you put in that slot there will always be someone who will say something negative, which is understandable, because we can't replace ((((Jerry)))) ever. SO basically after riding the "Couch Tour" and listening to the band grow, I was able to experience one of the best performances I've seen since 1993 Grateful Dead regarding our family. Chicago March 2nd, and 3rd blew my mind, it was an absolutely epic time. Not only did the band smoke the shows musically, the vibe, the feeling, the energy, and the feeling of being back with the family again was intensely pure. The difference between CHI/NY is astronomical in terms of tightness, which is to be expected with a newly formed band. All I can say is, I haven't felt this way about a band in a long time. And from here they can only get better! Great job Furthur! I can't wait to see yo again @ Mountain Aire! _____________________________________________ Will you come with me?     Saw Furthur on 2/12/10 at Hampton Coliseum
    Which is where I saw several killer Grateful Dead shows. The show was the best I've attended in years. Got to go with both my sons and it was a great experience. Really loved the "We Bid you Goodnight" encore. First time I've heard it live! I love this band. Hope to see some of you in Philadelphia on 7/11.

    Thank you Mary E! I've been looking for some Furthur discussion, not limited only to news announcements - the talk tends to get a bit fractured and forgotten that way. There are several threads at Phil Zone, & Ratdog.com, no discussions on furthur.net, but it seems natural for there to be a forum here. Caught my only Furthur show at Cornell. What a beauty. Mellow like the town of Ithaca. The love vibe was ripe that night for v-day. They Love Each Other and Unbroken Chain were my highlights. John was great... still enjoyed the Dead with Warren @ MSG more cuz it was such a killer show. So, who's going on Summer Tour? Guess you Mountain Aire folks will have lots to talk about first. It's Highland Bowl and ArtPark for me =) See you on the road!

Did everyone get searched like that or were you just the lucky one? It's good to know if it was systematic or a random security jerk. Don't get me wrong there should be security but they should stick to searching for weapons and glass bottles - you know, things that can hurt people. So sorry to hear your sad tale, especially considering these were the same 'security' so totally unprepared on Friday, and let all those without tickets into the campground for free.They really let the ball drop, and then I suppose needed to make up for it on Sunday? I read on the local Angels Camp on-line newspaper that the cops were really bent out of shape about the lack of security, and they must have read them the riot act, which led to your sad incident with a surely over-zealous worker at the gate. We went in and out numerous time over the weekend, and they never did more than squeeze my backpack looking for glass bottles. Over 60 people were arrested at this event. I'll never go there again.

Anyone have a link to buy the memorial day weekend shows? Also wanted to say thanks for support to everyone who commented regarding my bust...since this is my first offense my attorney is almost 100% I can do a diversion program and avoid the felony! Talk about shooting fish in barrel...

Last time it was "SHAKEDOWN" but am not sure if it will be the same tomorrow. I would go to kbco.com and register with them - its simple. Then tomorrow right as tickets go on sale go to kbco.com and it will give you the password then it directs you to the TM website, plug in the password and you are set. Good luck! It's just too bad that the cops/city has to be so lame about not letting them play there!Furthur Cancels July 5th show July 5th Shelburne Vermont Show CANCELLED To All Of Our Fans Who’ve Purchased Tickets To Our July 5 Show in Shelburne, VT: After days of meetings to address and alleviate last minute concerns being expressed by State and Local Authorities, Furthur is very disappointed to learn that today, the local authorities, citing an inability to deal with an expected influx of ticketless fans, traffic concerns, and other issues, have revoked the approved permits for the show and have decided to cancel Furthur's concert at Vermont's Shelburne Museum on July 5. As the decision made today by the local authorities has been made so close to the event date, unfortunately we are unable to find a suitable alternate venue. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience! Full & complete refunds are available at point of purchase. If you purchased online you'll automatically be refunded. In the meantime, please be assured that we are working hard to find a replacement show on July 5 somewhere outside of Vermont. We plan to announce plans for a replacement date later this evening. Never did like Vermont - they have bumper stickers that say "Thanks for visiting Vermont, don't forget to leave." Always figured I'd rather forget to visit in the first place, and take my vacation dollars elsewhere.Looking forward to Lowell on 6/30!

There are a lot of Deadheads in the Burlington area and in Vermont. I'm one of them. When I first heard that Furthur was going to play at the Shelburne Museum I was delighted and confused at the same time. Delighted because it was going to be a small, intimate venue and confused because, given the popularity of the band, this was NOT a good choice to play. Unfortunately, I think this is a hangover from the 94-95 Highgate shows. Out of control crowds and tons and tons of trash all over the place did not endear the Grateful Dead to the locals. I think they failed to take into account the fact that it's 15 years later and a sold out show does not mean lunacy because we all got a lot older and tamer -- well, most of us anyway. Vermont is a very beautiful place and nobody wants to see it spoiled. They don't want anymore new people moving in because "the flat-landers" could gain control of the political process and change things. It's a hillbilly mentality. It was the hippies moving back to the land in the 70s that has given Vermont it's juicy quality (artists, artisans, craftspeople, meditation centers etc., etc.). On behalf of all the Deadheads in VT I would like to apologize for stupid, backwards-looking townies and staties who took it upon themselves to ruin for everyone. This would have been one of the more friendly and scenic stops on the tour and Burlington is a jewel of a city. We'll see if they shut down Rhyth Devils in Burlington in August. Please don't label all Vermonters Vermonsters. The idiots are few and far between.

What a way to kick off Summer Tour!!! Rochester is a beautiful small town, with a gorgeous park, and in the middle of Highland Park there is a beautiful bowl that fits 6000 perfectly. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they provided us with rolling grassy parkland to tailgate in all night, and there was NO SEARCH upon entry. Beautiful people, most mature and kind, grooved steadily to some sick jams... Here Comes Sunshine, Stranger, Feelin Alright, Cosmic Charlie, New Potato Caboose... Thank you FURTHUR for a cookin show and to the city of Rochester for putting on a dignified family picnic. Show 'em how it's done! See you at ArtPark!!!!!!! (~);)

That is how it should be! Just got back from 3 nights at red rocks, no searches, no busts, no overwhelming security presence. I mean I already knew this but you can pretty much do whatever you want in there and amazingly no one abuses that. So it all works out for both sides. The promoters again apologized to the community for having to cancel the show and announced that their venue, Higher Ground, would host a GD tribute by local area musicians this coming Monday. Sweet way to end the holidaze. As well they said they are hoping to bring Furthur to the area at an indoor site. Let's hope. The recordings of this summer have been worth the price of admission. ~ Kite's on ice since the first of February ~

I loved the new phil tune I heard at furthur it totally rocked! A high point of the night was after the beautiful sunset when bits of seedlings and pollen began floating through the air and dancing in the lights. By the time Fire on the mountain rolled around it was full on snowing in June and just Looked like ash from a volcano floating down and didn't stop for almost the whole show! What a special nite!

Hey Al et al., As for wishes, hard to say. That first show was a beauty and I don't wanna push my luck. Wishing for a Terrapin suite, though they've just played it recently... Help, Let it Grow, Eyes, same thing. They haven't played Candyman or Til the Morning Comes yet, both songs I'd love to hear live. I'm hoping they'll breakout Crazy Fingers at ArtPark. I love grooving to the funk so Music Never Stopped would be welcome, I'm also a Shakedown fanatic... Easy Wind, Alligator... heck I'll take anything! Is there a place to find the lyrics of original furthur stuff that is being played? I was listening to XM last week and missed the introduction but I thought the song was "wooly bully" or something that sounded like that. I listened to the song as there was a line about a "buffalo" or something like that! Does anyone know what i am talking about. I know furthur played a couple of "new songs" during their April tour and I dont know if this was an old dead tune or something new from furthur! Just wondering????? And no......it is not the wooly bully song from back in the day!

I've never heard it and don't know the lyrics but do know its a new Furthur song! Hope this helps, Todd.

...the new Hunter tune that Furthur is doing, I think. You might want to check Hunter websites to see if he has lyrics posted, assuming he is the author.

Good Golly! They was kickin' it up in Canada! Seems to be where they peaked on the summer tour. I'm wondering about ramblin'up to the Polo Fields this August but they seem to be hitting and missing and I'd hate to make the rip for a mediocre show... What about it Bob & Phil & JK? How was the rest of the festival? One of the most diverse line ups I have ever seen.. "Lazy lightning you say you never strike the same place. I want a double dose in any case" ... "You got to hear my supplication. Got to hear me now. A little bolt of inspiration"
