( -; I tried it with the 2 page introduction thread, and it did, indeed, go back to the first page, from the top, all over again. though I do see what you mean about hitting reply. that would help with the cut and paste quote thing, but oh well, if I gotta scroll down, and then hit 'last page' I guess that is what I gotta do. then, another thing, after I did the 'test' in the Introduction thread, I tried to go back and delete it, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. so, (OK, I promise these will be my last questions for a while) is there a way to delete posts? other than editing it, and writing in deleted? because you can not re-post an empty field... is there a time limit on the edit feature? this I would think would be a good idea for the sake of continuity and NOT being able to re-write history. peace.

    well, the next screen popped
    well, the next screen popped up on the top of the page... meaning I had to scroll down to see what I put. I wonder how that will work on a two page thread. I'll give it another try on a 2 page thread. I suppose it will just take some getting used to. I use a Mac most of the time, so I never got used to doing that right click thang to scroll down. (actually, my Mac had a really weird set up for the opening screen, but I think that is a local problem at home since the software and explorer version is a little old...) peace.

    CCJoe: is there a way to NOT go back to the first page of a thread after making a post? Not that I've been able to find you. I have learned, though, that if you want to Reply to a particular post, and use the Repy option, it puts that original post alone on your screen so you can see it, no matter where on the page you were when you found it. I've also learned that the All Recent Posts button there on Dead.Community gets you to a screen with, who knew, all the recent posts marked as . Will that help at least a little?

    is there a way to NOT go back to the first page of a thread after making a post? in another thread that is now 2 pages long, after i posted something, it automatically took me back to the start of the thread rather than to my post (the end of the thread) peace.

    I'm with Dire Wolf on this one . . . I can somewhat understand that the folks behind the scenes here might be interested in demographics of the inhabitants of this place . . . I can also see where it might be helpful to the inhabitants who hope to market what they do or even perhaps themselves . . . however, it is kind of creepy knowing that the general populace might be able to avail themselves of someones home address . . .

I think it could be done, though I tear my hair at the thought of retrofitting what's already up. It's a good idea, as we've been getting a lot more artwork from folks lately.

The package was up for pre-order for a few hours, including a new Road Trips volume (Winterland From Egypt with Love), then gone again. Very confusing.

howdy again... just a quick question... who or what would i get in touch with concerning GD copyright laws... im just an artist who makes shirts of my art from time to time and was wondering who i should seek to get permission to do so... as in some of my work contains the stealie face...and the bolt... and to what degree i should tweak my art as too it is not breaking any copy right laws... and i hope its not warner bros...but if it is...any contact info you could provide would be delicious... would be grateful if you fine folks could show me the way..-forver grateful...-capt space...

It is indeed where people who sign up share shows by passing them along for the next person to copy the CDs and then send them on. There is a variety of Grateful Dead, Garcia, Ratdog, Phil & Friends and even other artists music to share. Click back to forums, then scroll down to the vineyard, click and browse.

Delighted as I am to see you around these parts, it seems to me all the various Obama fundraiser topics are alive and well, other than the one with the original press release, which did get rather summarily removed as arrangements were not exactly firm at the time. its because no-one pays attention to the independent candidates, most of us are just concerned with the two bloated bloodsucking political parties that have the most money (our money of course) that's all they see. you must look beyond these vampires....plenty of other candidates out there but it's harder for them to get on the ballot, because, again, money!!

Im so sad that all of the tickets are sold out for the Dead Heads For Obama Concert at the Warfield!!! You guys need to have another show so the rest of your fans can have a chance of seeing the greatest band ever supporting the best presidential candidate of our generation!! i got fed up with not even receiving shipping status.contacted cust.serv.and asked wot would be quicker, refund or shipping status.then they did both the same day......re-ordered and it should be here 2morrow....i would get with cust. serv. if i was yoy

I have a question: say I wanted to make sure dead.net folks were aware that HeadCount was auctioning off certain music-related items, like: 1. A Warren Haynes, custom Gibson Les Paul Guitar, signed by Warren himself 2. A Pearl Jam poster from their 2008 tour, signed by every band member 3. A Fender guitar signed by every member of the Allman Brothers Band and Bob Weir & RatDog 4. A guitar signed by every member of My Morning Jacket 5. A Rothbury poster signed by Snoop Dogg, Dave Matthews and three members of Phish 6. A Mile High Festival poster signed by Dave Matthews, John Mayer and 10 others 7. A pair of Congas played by Jay Lane of RatDog along side Bob Weir at a historic private performance in Washington D.C. on April 7th (signed by both) Where would I post something like that? (I get HeadCount emails, let me know if you want me to forward you the email with the auction link) ((Snoop Dogg, Dave Matthews and Phish - you know that's the after party to hit!))
