    And I'll be danged if I'm going to read them. I am lazy. Anyway, these are shows I'm looking for - if they're out there now, not as torrents, I'd love to know. But still, official releases would be awesome: 1/7/1966 1/13/1966 12/1/1966 10/30/1968 9/7/1969 2/7/1970 3/8/1970 4/18/1970 4/19/1970 11/21/1970 9/26/1972 9/17/1987 4/11/1972 4/16/1972 4/21/1972 5/3/1972 5/7/1972 5/13/1972 5/16/1972 5/18/1972 5/23/1972 5/26/1972 9/30/1981 Actually, I know a bunch of those '72s are the Europe ones, so never mind 'bout them...

Any chance this show is in The Vault and might be considered for future release in complete form???

In the month of March we went to all the shows that I believe started on a Friday. The whole 3 shows would be great, but Saturday night was the magic of it all!

Hello! Just grooving on the 9/10/91 with Branford Marsalis and thinking that we should have a release, or set, with Guest Artists. Those horn sections shows in '73, any of the Branford material, Etta James, Allman Brothers..... Would be great to see some of that make a release, either in complete shows or a compilation. We're good on the Dylan & the Dead stuff (not a raging highlight anyway), but would love to hear some other good guests!! (the original post to start this thread, 8/2/2007, someone else had the same idea!! Must be worth something....) Thank you, Reggie

The penultimate show from the comeback year of 1976, it's a high energy show with a great setlist and historic to boot. This show features the first He's Gone since the retirement and the last He's Gone since they took the tune off the shelf for good starting with Dick's Picks 29. This show would make a great bookend to demonstrate the evolution of the band from the '76 sound into the monster machine they became in May 1977. Check out the Other One, too! Might As Well Mama Tried Row Jimmy It's All Over Now Loser New Minglewood Blues Bertha Lazy Lightnin' Supplication Sugaree Promised Land Eyes of the World Music Never Stopped It Must Have Been the Roses Samson and Delilah He's Gone drums The Other One Comes a Time Franklin's Tower Sugar Magnolia

I have a listenable AUD of this show, and I have to say that this is an exceptional performance from that period. It's a relatively unknown show that ought to be widely heard in pristine CD quality. I would definitely buy this if were released on CD.

Listening to this show now and would love to see it get the official treatment. This show features the most gorgeous acoustic Dead I've ever heard. I am also smitten with the American Beauty centered set list! By far, that is the band's best album and this year in their history is quite important as a result. Of course, this is my opinion but I feel that it is a legit one :-) Happy listening, folks!

I’m thinking based on the clue offered for Dave’s 50, specifically the reference to “show (shows…?)” and the timing being right,… leads me to believe the show is the Watkins Glen summer jam and the bonus disc is the sound check. I did some quick math at archive.org and it looks like the show would fit on three discs with about 15 min to spare, and that the sound check would almost fit on one, with the need for last song on the other discs.

As is well known, there are Owsley tapes for both days and even though widely available (in so so quality) already, this show deserves the official release, plangent process and all. Here’s hoping I’m right on this guess.
