Heyo! My name is Philip and I am doing the entire tour except the second shoreline show. I am driving and already have a rider for the west coast part. I may take on a rider for some of the east coast shows as well. Currently I am organizing a caravan. Some people have already contacted me and are driving with us for partial legs of the tour. I also have someone that is doing the whole tour with us. The basic plan is to drive together from show to show and help each other out, look out for each other, help with breakdowns, directions, info, findin/trading tickets, stuff like that. In the past I have found it VERY handy to park several vehicles somewhere near the venue and pile into the bigger vehicles and save on parking fees at the lots. I have hotels near some of the venues already and am planning to camp the ones that I wont freeze, but we can still caravan and divide up at the venue if people in the group have different plans. I am easy going and flexible if we need to change plans. The main thing is safety and having fun. The way things look now I will be going to the Greensboro through Buffalo shows. I can bring up to three passengers (one or two might be better space-wise) comfortably provided that folks don't plan to haul around too much stuff. Sharing gas and other expenses helps a lot and is expected. My main concern is that folks know how to keep it cool and not do anything stupid. We'd also need to meet first to see how we all get along. I'm easy going but not into bullshit. The car that I'll be driving is a 2007 Ford Focus. It's small but it gets pretty good gas mileage (about 38 m.p.g. on the highway). For what it's worth, I have a cheaufeur's license and my driving record is clean. This is gonna be good i have a feeling, 1st tour looking to meet new persons to ride along/drive on this journey with me and help pay for fuel in a rental. Ill be departing from tampa fl. so any one in the area or maybe someone along the tour route close to venue. some mula is a must cause im not supporting anyone on this trip ,I can barely make it myself so contact me through DEAD.net. Hey everybody, I am looking to hook up with folks who want to do the entire tour, or just part(s) of it, and get a ride share/caravan thing going. Anyone set on going to the shows but unsure of how you are getting there we should connect. I am looking to explore all options. As of know I see three: 1) Finding some kind family with a bus or other large vehicle who wishes to take on some riders for the entire tour 2) Renting a vehicle such as an RV or something 3) Hitching to Greensboro then figuring it out. As of now I am seriously considering renting an RV if anyone is into that idea, or if someone has a school bus and wants to pack in some riders, that would be sweet. I've decided that no matter what I'm going home to Cali for the Shoreline shows...last place I saw Jerry. Is anyone driving? Would love to make a few stops along the way and see some old friends too. Ever been to the Four Corners? Or a cabin just outside of North Tahoe (Truckee)? We've got months to plan this, so, why not ride the bus with kind people?____________________________________________________ Will you come with me? before this gets completely out of hand--yes, we're all happy and excited about going on tour. But please be aware that everyone in the whole world (at least those with computer access) can read these posts, and it is probably not so prudent to post offers to be someone's 420 buddy. Just sayin'. I expect the DEA has better things to do than to troll here for easy pickings, but ya never know. Thanks.
