A crazy far out scene! we turn on my gal ( Sandra Hughes ) T.V. Lady then, CH 32 - WLKY, now CBS NEWS to "DA DEAD".
What a fantastic show & the kids in front of me from my hometown and know my bro "DA COACH" Crego - who is totally responsible for my deadheadedness along with guitarist Dan "Reeder" Retoff.
Thanks Jerry, Coach, Reeder, and all you remarkable wild ass deadheads.
This show was magnifique!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which 'un, Bob?
I take it you're referring to the one in '74...but then I ain't sure. Sounds great on disk/tape, that's for dadgum certain.
Saw the two in '93 myself and loved the place, and had quite the time at the outdoor Louavull gig in '90 as well.
I think they're getting set to build a massive new indoor arena downtown, which could spell the end of Freedom Hall.

This was my second show,Cinn. Gardens in 1973 was my first, after seeing the first show, I knew what I was in for.You got to remember back then trips was a happening thing, so we had a car load of people with us and got there early. We walked into Freedom hall and walked right up in front of the stage, and sat down in the floor in the front row. I sat right in front of Jerry and the Wall of Sound. I can remember somewhere in the show this belly dancer was dancing on stage and then just dissapeared. I can remember that stella blue was so intense that you hear a pin drop. I could go on and on but there's not that much room.
Last show )-:
My last show. Hitched in from Furnace, Ky. where I was living at the time. Music was so-so, had it's moments. I got a Last Time, a Dew & a Gloria to remember them by. The energy on tour had changed, like the tide going out...
