has happened. My friend Rikke in Denmark has played Santa behind my back. I told her last week that I could not afford a ticket to see the kids, and thus was going to do my best to pretend there is no Christmas this year. So she took up a collection amongst some other mutual friends (Rikke wrote a bunch of my friends that she met at my birthday party in April, including my Dad) and now I am going to have a week w/my children. She told me this last night. I am stunned, blown away, and suddenly feeling very Christmassy with this good fortune. I will remember this gesture for a very long time-and how lucky I am to have such friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ********************************** Don't part with your illusions.
