Important Show
This show possibly means more than any other for a few reasons....The girl I fell in love with in Florida 9 years later was at this show and I didn't even know it.
The only Dead show we both attended. She thought it was as good as I did and she wasn't even a Deadhead !
I had never, before or since, seen a Playin' > Franklin's.
The second set was so special for me. I was staying with friends in South Yarmouth, some not even heads...they were so charged up after the show because it was so damn good !!
Every show at Cumberland County was a big party, but this was my favorite of all.
Sorry I didn't show
I met a beautiful girl with raven hair the previous night {great show btw)and we really hit it off. We made plans to meet again on this night, my birthday, but fate would not allow. My bus broke down on the Maine Turnpike, a trooper searched it, and I turned 22 in prison.
Listening
Listening to this one this morning. A very good mix of songs and Playing Playing playing in the band. I always loved when they opened 2nd set with Playin never knew what was to come from that point on. The spacey 2nd sets seem to always open with Playin.
Great show
Followed my tall friend through the crowd till we ended up right in front of the stage. Great music, especially Althea, Mr. Fantasy, and Good Lovin’. Slept in the back of a friend’s pickup truck in the parking lot. I have the ticket stub, if you want a copy.
