My first show after the

From the first note of Jerry's first solo on "Mississippi," we all could tell the band was ON this night. During a particularly long tuning-or-whatever break after "Samson and Delilah," with the stage lights down and the band members hardly visible, somebody yelled out, "Anybody got a trouble light?" Everyone laughed. A few minutes later, another called out loudly, "High Time!" Everybody laughed again. A few minutes later they launched into "High Time." "St Stephen" brought the house down. "Stella Blue" was as good as it gets. They should have released the live "Dancin' In the Streets" from this show on the _Terrapin_ album. It's the only time I ever heard it work.
