    MORE ABOUT THIS SHOW

The German odyssey continues with this mighty fine concert at Hundred Year Hall (or more appropriately Centennial Hall) in Frankfurt, the first vault release after the Grateful Dead stopped touring, and one of the finest, most powerful shows on the tour. On a tour filled with great Other Ones, this is one of the best.

If you paid, what I assume is ALOT for the vault, what would you do with it? Sit on it or give it all away? A lot of work goes in to the OR's. There is something to be said for making a sbd sound fantastic. I think that most people who bought the E72 Box probably had some of those shows anyway. It's business like any other. Besides ... this website offers all kinds of free music. Just open your eyes. And don't be so rude.

You young'uns take that to heart, and don't laugh at the old man bopping around the room alone with the little computer speakers singin' and ringin' and shakin' his bones. Thanks for the stream!

This second set is just silly it's so good, talk about taking a country by storm. The whole show is what we used to call a "barn burner". Thank you Lord for the Grateful Dead!

Guess I shoulda picked this show instead of the 24th to listen to in the car this week. Monday started with 4/21 and then I had to pick between 4/24 and 4/26 to finish out the week. I picked 4/24 I'd listened to Hundred Year Hall more in the past (along with Arista Years, it was one of the first two Dead CDs I purchased back in 1996). Just started disc 4 of 4/24, which has been a remarkable show so far. Perhaps I will bring along 4/26 for some highlights tomorrow. Haven't decided between 4/29, 5/3 and 5/4 for next week.

So clean, the quality of the sound is amazing. Thanks Jeffery Norman! What a treat to hear this show. Pigpen rocks. Jerry is having fun, just listen to his vocals on CJ. The mix is great, headphone worthy Fun crowd banter, takes me back. "Acme Thunderers in the key of C" classic. Thank you!

Can someone tell me, is the mix on Hundred Year Hall used on the new full show release or does the full show have a new mix consistent with all the other new E72 releases?

I had the heeadphones on rockin out, must have had happy fingers on the keyboard. Thanks for the help and more so for all the great work you do on the boards. You always manage to send out good vibes even when dealing with knucklehead stuff. We can all feel the love, puts a smile on my face. Thank you Marye,

With the majority for a change. Rhino deserves credit (if it was them) for showcasing this Europe show almost in it's entirety many years ago. It was great to get the entire thing to listen to. Great marketing tactic to stream the 3 top picks. Should boost sales significantly if there is traffic enough other than "the choir".
