Motorcycles and busses only in town,,,
it was nice rolling in on a bike,,The day I bought my original Blue Rose at an art gallery in town,,
Telluride!!!
This was the most fun I ever had at a Dead show.Amazing times! The shows themselves were ok... Inspired at times. I think the high altitude and the wind kinda messed with the Boys. But it didn't matter. This was all about being there as Telluride welcomed the Dead and Baba Olatungi. Telluride is such a festive place... nothing but good vibes and happy people. And...
I've always loved square meals in the most beautiful places on earth! FUN!
bestival of vibes
my jaw dropped when we drove into town. Thank god we drove in early cause they ended up closing the only road into town. What I remember most about these shows was the vibe. People were just so laid back, & kind hearted. I liked it so much that I ended up moving to Colorado.
the weather
We were really lucky the weather was so nice both of these shows. Anyone remember the ride from Arizona to Utah how it was snowing at one point along the way between shows.
Bill's Dream
As I understand it, Bill Graham saw a "Dead End" sign in Telluride once and thus hatched the idea of bringing the Dead to Telluride. After this show, we were lingering around and saw some people picking up trash as the concertgoers where filtering out. One was Bill Graham himself. We had to pitch-in.
