HAMBURG!
This venue was soooo small. It looked like a high school gym. I think it held at most 1,000 people. The soundboard was at one wall and the stage was at the other. ( you know the soundboard had to be a certain distance from the stage to get the appropriate sound, well thats how small this place was. No room behind the board.) It was the most intimate GD show I ever attended. Phil simply shook the foundations of this tiny room. Again it was very surreal as most of Europe 90 was. Definately one of my all timers right here.
My last GD show with JG playing guitar
I just moved to Hamburg with my family and started my industry career. So I was really happy that I could see the dead playing in my new hometown. The Sporthalle was great and this show was the second best I saw from GD (best one was in 1981 Essen, Grugahalle @ Rockpalast).
