What a Spring tour that was
After seeing the band for the first time in May 77 in Baltimore at the end of that magical May, I caight them again in Englishtown, and by winter of 77 my tribe at Towson U was itching to hit the road. We headed south that April, caught them in Atlanta, Duke, William and Mary, Va Tech, Huntington and Pittsburgh, back to school for mid-terms, then up to New England for a few shows. When we were back at the home base, my crew from Delaware called and gotten tix to this Spectrum show - my first of maybe 20 shows there - and I took three first timers. A few doses here and there and everybody had a blast. My recollection of Donna wailing during Playin' in the 2nd set...the Black Peter that brought me to my Jerry ballad tears for the first time - what a night..just a great show in a great spring tour. I caught them 121 times from 77-89, and this is a top ten for me....as were 3 other shows that tour - Huntington, Duke, and night one in Hotlanta!
