dead comment
it gets me every time
How can this moment in grateful dead history not rate at the top? I was at Brents' last show and when I heard the news (he was gone ) I thought about this show and how it affected me and then that affect hit me again only a thousand times harder. I cried heavy tears, I am still not certian weather I crying for the loss of Brent (cuz I always thought that he was fantastic) but more likely I was crying for that little girl who no longer had a daddy to take her ujp in his arms and comfort her and 'Take her Home' God I am almost crying just writting this. . . . gotta go.
fare the well
amen,we miss them all...thoughts and prayers are with those children...
Gonna leave this brokedown palace...
That is one of the sweetest pictures I've ever seen. It grabs my heart and makes me hug my children tighter! We are all so blessed
PEACE
of course...
wherever she is, she's a grownup these days...
On an impulse I just googled Jessica Mydland. There appears to be a Jessica Mydland who got a BS from the University of Wyoming in 2004 and is now an archeology volunteer working on dinosaurs. Might be the same one, might not; from the photo it's certainly not out of the question. Good vibes to her wherever she is! And her daddy too.
it gets me every time too
Yeah, this one breaks my heart.
If the doors of perception were cleansed, everything would appear to man as it is, infinite.

re my previous post
I just got a PM from someone who seems to know this stuff, who reports that the Jessica in the picture is doing great these days but is NOT the archeologist Jessica Mydland, who is another person entirely.
Many good vibes to those Mydland girls, whoever and whatever they are these days!
Jessica Mydland now
If you Google her name again, you'll see that a picture of her is in the 12/07 Lafayette city newsletter. There was a benefit in his honor & she is pictured with an artist who painted and donated a portrait of him. Sweet-looking girl.

I don't know Jessica
