Week of December 13-19, 2021
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from the early Brent era, some late Brent, and some early Vince.
Our first stop is at the end of the first set from the Dead’s fourth and final night in London on their first trip to the Rainbow Theatre in 1981 (they’d return for four more nights in October), on 3/24/81, where we have High Time > Little Red Rooster ; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider.
Next is the entire excellent first set from 3/22/90 in Hamilton, Ontario, where we have this wonderful hour of Dead: Feel Like A Stranger, West L.A. Fadeaway, Easy To Love You , Beat It On Down The Line, It Must Have Been The Roses, The Last Time , Picasso Moon, Don't Ease Me In.
Lastly this week is the end of the show from 3/25/91, the third night of a three night run at the Knick, featuring Space > The Other One>Black Peter>Throwing Stones>Playing In The Band, Lovelight.
Be sure to stop by next week for more music from the vault.
