Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we’ll check out some 1980s Grateful Dead music.
Our first stop this week is on 7/28/82 at Red Rocks, where we have second set music from the middle night of a three night run, including a couple of second set rarities: Althea; Let It Grow > He's Gone > Truckin'.
Next is the entire first set from 7/29/88 at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA, where we have Iko Iko; Walkin' Blues ; Candyman; Queen Jane Approximately; Althea ; Blow Away; Cassidy> Deal.
Lastly this week is another first set from a year later, on 8/4/89 at Cal Expo, where we have this very long, and excellent first set featuring Bertha ; Greatest Story Ever Told ; Althea ; Mama Tried ; Mexicali Blues ; Never Trust A Woman ; Built To Last ; Queen Jane Approximately ; Jack-A-Roe ; Cassidy ; Deal.
