Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from three very different, and very excellent, eras.
Our first selection this is week is from 10/2/72 in Springfield, MA, the final show of the first leg of the Fall Tour of 1972, where we have the start of the second set: Promised Land; He's Gone > Me And Bobby McGee; China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider ; Tomorrow Is Forever; Greatest Story Ever Told ; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo.
Next is another start of a second set, this one from 9/27/81 at the Capital Center in Landover, MD, the third and final night of a three-city, three-show tour just prior to the start of the Dead Europe ’81 tour, where we have China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider ; Man Smart (Woman Smarter) ; He's Gone > Truckin' > Drums.
Lastly this week is the entire first set from 10/1/94 in Boston, wher we have this terrific set of Help On The Way> Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower ; Walkin' Blues; Althea; Me And My Uncle > Big River; Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues; So Many Roads ; Promised Land.
