Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1978, 1989, and 1991, including a double dose of Cal Expo Dead.
Our first selection this week is the end of the show from RPI Field House in Troy, NY, just outside of Albany, on 5/7/78 where we have this cool sequence of Iko Iko> The Other One> Black Peter> Around And Around, US Blues.
Next is the first set from the middle night of a three night run at Cal Expo in Sacramento, CA, on 8/5/89 where we have One More Saturday Night ; Cold Rain And Snow ; We Can Run ; Stagger Lee ; Stuck Inside Of Mobile With The Memphis Blues Again ; Row Jimmy ; Let It Grow.
Lastly this week music from Cal Expo on 5/4/91, the middle night of a terrific three night run, where we have the start of the second set featuring Victim Or The Crime>Crazy Fingers>Playing In The Band>Uncle John's Band.
