I had the good fortune of meeting Stanley Mouse at the Gathering of the Vibes.. I watched him draw for about 20 minutes and was in awe. After buying a book of his artwork and getting an autograph, we started to converse. Tthat's when I told him that I had recently created a digital piece of artwork that served as the centerpiece of a quilt square i had recently done for the band. The quilt hung at the DCU during the Worcester Sat. and Sunday night shows back where the band could see it behind stage, and then I thanked him for the inpiration since many of the digital images I used were, in fact, his. Then it occured to me that i had brought the framed print to show to a friend and had it back at the campsight.. That's when I decided to give it to Stanley as a token of gratitude for all he's done. He seemed to like it and told me he was going to hang it up in his studio. : )

his art is legendary. but hes not so cool with his ethics. in the mid 90s he put out alot of lithos, limited to around 250 or so prints.they we expensive. after he sold those he reduced the size of the lithos witch allowed him to reprint a fresh series witch then devalued the first, 1/2 larger series ALOT-we bought and sold alot of his prints through his blood family. i saw this first hand having met him many times.... not cool at all!! shady as hell
