Week of June 17-23, 2019
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from the Grateful Dead’s final decade and a half, from 1981, 1982, and 1993.
Our first selection this week is from 3/3/81 in Cleveland, where we have the start of the second set, featuring China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider> Samson And Delilah; He's Gone.
Next up is the end of the first set from a year later, on 3/14/82 in Davis, CA, where we have this classic sequence from the era: Ramble On Rose ; Looks Like Rain ; Althea ; Let It Grow.
Lastly this week we have the entire first set from 3/11/93 in Rosemont, IL, the final night of a three night run that opened the excellent Spring Tour of 1993. From this show we have Help On The Way > Slipknot! > Franklin's Tower ; Little Red Rooster ; Althea ; When I Paint My Masterpiece ; So Many Roads > The Music Never Stopped.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
