Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1981, 1982, and 1987, three mighty fine years during the Brent era.
Our first selection is from Seattle on 8/14/81 and features a unique sequence of Playing In The Band> China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider.
Next is music from Alpine Valley a year later on 8/8/82, where we have the start of the second set featuring Far From Me, Scarlet Begonias>Fire On The Mountain, including a very unique set-opener of Far From Me.
Our final selection this week is the opening set from the Dead’s final run of shows at Red Rocks on 8/11/87, where we have Cold Rain And Snow ; Little Red Rooster ; Tons Of Steel; High Time; When I Paint My Masterpiece ; When Push Comes To Shove, Let It Grow.
