Week of November 9-15, 2020

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from three distinct periods in their touring career, from 1973, 1978, and 1992.

Our first selection features the big jam from the second of three May weekend shows (5/13 in Des Moines, and 5/26 at Kezar were the others), where we have this excellent batch of Dead: Truckin'>Nobody's Fault But Mine Jam>The Other One > Eyes Of The World>Stella Blue.

Next is the entire first set from the final show of the Spring Tour of 1978, from the Uptown in Chicago, where we have Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo > Franklin's Tower ; Me And My Uncle> Big River; It Must Have Been The Roses; Looks Like Rain; Tennessee Jed; Funiculi Funicula; Lazy Lightnin'> Supplication.

Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 5/24/92 at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA, opening with a classic before heading into three of the new songs from 1992: Samson And Delilah; So Many Roads; Way To Go Home > Corrina.

Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the vault.
