Week of June 13-19, 2022
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we’ll have Grateful Dead music from three distinct eras, from 1972, 1981, and 1991.
First up is music from the final night of a four night run at Berkeley Community Theatre on 8/25/72, where we have two of the bigger non-Dark Star, non-Other One jam vehicles for the Dead at the time, with Bird Song, Playing In The Band.
Next is the end of the first set from 5/13/81 in Providence, RI, where we have this great trio of songs: Bird Song>Let It Grow>Deal.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 8/18/91 at Shoreline Amphitheatre. When I got a tape of this show back in 1991, I thought it was a mixtape someone had assembled as the sequence is most certainly not a common second set sequence: Deal; Samson And Delilah ; Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo ; Feel Like A Stranger.
Be sure to join us here next week for more music from the Grateful Dead’s vault.

Not Playing
The 8-18-91 selection is reverting back to the 1972 selection.
Not a terrible thing as that segment is quality!
But I'm a week late and a dollar short anyway.
Hard to keep up with these and the POD as well.
Cheers
