    First show!
This was my first show at 14 years old. I still have the shirt ( baseball shirt with Euro 72 eagle face logo and purple sleeves). I miss the days of $7.50 tickets! Does a tape exist of this show? Tried to get a ticket to Phil's 70th birthday show last night in SF but no deal!

    Beth
I had bought the tickets with Beth, but she broke up with me about a month before the show and returned the tickets to me. We were going to seperate schools now and things just were not going to work out, -- Time and distance. So I went to the show with my roomate Scott and a couple of carloads of friends from Eastern Ct. State College and had a blast. I ended up on the floor somehow and after the houselights came up at the end of the show, there she was walking toward me. It was an electrifying moment for both of us, and she invited me to come home with her. We needed to have some closure and it worked out well. I gave my car keys to Scott, and hitched back to the dorm the next day. Truly a cathartic experience. Hitchin' heartbroken, but with the road ahead of me.

yeah, I remember this show. The dead are about to do the encore and i shout out for "Unbroken Chain". A head turns to me and says: "they aren't ever, ever, never, ever goona do this song in concert." Don't say never! At least until the last year rolls by.

For some reason, I recall that this was the date when American hostages were taken captive in Iran. Stupid analogy, but I was clearly taken captive by this show.. First Alabama, which stunned a little, followed by soon-to-be-almost-permanently partnered with Greatest Story. Still reeling from the Cape Cod shows, here was another powerful He's Gone jam which eventually reached the Other One in epic proportion after drums and Space. Listen to this recording! The Estimated transition to He's Gone is like nothing I've ever heard. The show had energy too..nice open with Minglewood, new to its time

Was this the show that Bobby fell down three times during New Minglewood Blues, I seem to remember it?
