If the people I know are an accurate sample, it's a pretty common story, how you're at some show and somehow connect in some cosmic fashion with somebody also at the show, often a perfect stranger, and how you've been friends ever since. (Or not, as the case may be.) It's only when you talk to non-Heads that all this doesn't seem perfectly normal. So I figured folks might have some stories.

An excellent suggestion from Hal R., picking up on a thread in another topic: how did you get on the bus? What was that moment that left no room for doubt? Probably no two stories are the same, but they're all probably pretty interesting, so tell all here!

Let's face it, some venues had a lot more charisma than others -- and still do. Red Rocks probably tops a lot of lists when it comes to personal Grateful Dead power spots -- but what amazing places haven't we heard enough about?

Which would it have been? Most life-changing, for whatever reason.
