Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have music from 1970, 1972, and 1974
From the first show of one of the best years in Grateful Dead history, we have the Live/Dead suite from 1/2/70 at the Fillmore East in New York City, featuring Dark Star>St. Stephen>The Eleven>Lovelight.
Next up, from exactly two years later, is music from the first show of another of the Grateful Dead’s best years, 1972, with this sequence of tunes from 1/2/72 at Winterland in San Francisco, featuring Truckin', Sugaree, Mr. Charlie, Beat It On Down The Line, Loser, Jack Straw.
Lastly this week is a batch of first set music from 7/25/74 in Chicago, a Wall Of Sound show featuring Loose Lucy ; Black Throated Wind ; Loser ; Beat It On Down The Line ; Sugaree ; Mexicali Blues ; Brown Eyed Women ; El Paso.
