    12/11/79 link

Points to 12/10/71. I was intrigued by that Estimated Jam, but alas it will have to wait.

Week of May 11-17, 2020

Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from 1971, 1972, and 1979.

From the Fox Theatre in St. Louis on 12/10/71, we start our week with this majestic second set jam of Truckin'> Drums> The Other One > Sittin' On Top Of The World> The Other One > Not Fade Away> Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad > Not Fade Away, One More Saturday Night.

Next up is music from a hometown show on 12/11/72 at Winterland in San Francisco, where we have China Cat Sunflower> I Know You Rider ; Box Of Rain ; He's Gone ; Around And Around ; Friend Of The Devil ; Me And My Uncle; Big Railroad Blues ; Playing In The Band.

Lastly this week we move into the Brent era, where we have music from 12/11/79 in Kansas City, and what a sequence it is, including a very cool (and familiar!) jam coming out of Saint Of Circumstance. Shakedown Street> Samson And Delilah ; Ship Of Fools ; Terrapin Station> Lost Sailor; Saint Of Circumstance> Estimated Jam.

Be sure to tune in next week, and please be kind, stay safe, and stay healthy.

David Lemieux
