Week of September 21-27, 2020
Welcome back to the Tapers’ Section, where this week we have Grateful Dead music from the 1980s, in 1982, 1983, and 1988.
Our first selection this week is from 4/11/82 at Nassau Coliseum, where we have the end of the first set featuring Althea > Beat It On Down The Line ; Row Jimmy ; Let It Grow. The set ends with two Wake Of The Flood classics.
Next up is the start of the second set from 4/10/83 in Morgantown, WV, where we have Touch Of Grey; Man Smart (Woman Smarter); Uncle John's Band> Playing In The Band> Drums.
Lastly this week is the start of the second set from 3/31/88 at the Brendan Byrne Arena in East Rutherford, NY, where we have Scarlet Begonias > Fire On The Mountain ; Samson and Delilah ; Terrapin Station. This was the first time I saw Terrapin Station live, and I remember it vividly, from the 15th row on the floor in front of Jerry.
