***We are making Tie Die Eggs for Easter****
Here's how it's done: you will need. .eggs, hard-boiled, boiled in a saucepan of water with 1 tbsp of vinegar added food coloring in assorted colors paper towels plastic wrap old shirt or apron Take a paper towel and dampen the towel with water and vinegar, making sure it is just damp. Place a piece of plastic wrap under the paper towel. Drip small drops of food coloring onto the paper towel. Allow colors to drop next to each other so they bleed slightly together. Make sure there is enough area with food color to cover egg. Wrap an egg in the paper towel and the plastic wrap. The longer you keep the egg in the brighter the egg will get. Repeat until all your eggs are tie dyed. Every one will be different, but all of them will be pretty! Have a grate time!! **Peace, Gigi**

in light of recent news events, please visit www.savetibet.org and pass the information along to as many folks as you can. in a nutshell, china is trying to destroy tibet's culture and religion and hide this fact from the rest of the world. tibet is a country and a culture that actually practices "peace, love and compassion". please help any way you can. thank you

(on the bottom something in reply to deadheadkid's comment, too, which might be fun to Hal R also) and maybe not the last verbal hug from the dead.net people. I signed in here in early January, about a week before my 52nd birthday. Never been to a Grateful Dead concert. And knowing that being a German, living in Germany is just a weak excuse for having missed them. So don't worry at all. Would have chimed in earlier, but I did not read and post that much during the last few weeks, mainly because I am downloading and burning CDs like nuts, after I got aware of the bittorrent universe. So now I am lucky to read all the posts in this forum, that are new to me, and add something. As a seasoned rookie (poet, percussionist & storyteller, too). That "liquid sound" thing is the real one to me. Music/lyrics can touch ones mind, soul or body. But the best is, when it gets through to this trinity of what we are. And that's what the Grateful Dead music/lyrics does to a lot of people. (In case you are interested, send me a PM ... click on my name on top of this post, wait until you can click on the "Send a private message" (or something like that) ... and then we might get into about some music that moves the two of us and exchange some of it. I know some good "water" aside the Grateful Dead and I am curious what you jounggun like, aside the Grateful Dead). deadheadkid wrote that "Sound is the spice of lLife" and the saying "in the beginning there was the sound" (bible) comes to mind. Which is the same as what hinduists and buddhists experience (and know) regarding the mantra OM ... And now imagine my wild yelling, dance and laughter (mind, soul and body involved), when I read that the core/big one in that mantra is the space between the O and the M ... which is silence/nothing. Where we all come from and will return to. And I'd liek to add that after marye wrote that "you sure sound like a Deadhead to me", you don't have to worry any more. And I completely agree with Hal, who wrote that you could use your name as your name. And take an old farts advice, check out the difference between (speakig out loud) "My name is Jimi Clark" and "I am Jimi Clark". Drown in/Dance on/Be a Ripple (lyrics by Robert Hunter), bro. andré

nope, nice guesses, but neither Peggy O or CC Rider and the show was from 1982... pretty close with the year, though!! peace "The highway is for gamblers, you'd better use your sense. Take what you have gathered from coincidence"

Upon further review I've concluded that the sound bit is "Touch." If it isn't "Touch" then it's "Bertha."

Oh, yeah, about the "Playin'" Controversy: I couldn't find a real good comparison with Keith on keys as it seemed he used the Wah-Wah until Keith left and ditched it around the time that Brent came around. I definitely like both styles, but the Stratocaster + Wah-Wah is a tone that just really did something for me. Now, its not like I'd ever complain about hearing it either way, but yes, Joe, you did point out many other factors that contributed to the "not quite the samedness" of the two versions, but I did the same thing you did: I listened to so many versions of Playin' that just floored me that I forgot what I was doing! Bozo Bus: I was in a band called "San Pedro Circus" back in 2001 when I played there. We were on tour and I had a bunch of my Denver buddies show up so it was kind of extra special for me. That and I actually played well that night which I had been struggling with at the time. I think there was an opening band, but green cookies and two hours worth of basketball in the hot sun before the gig make most of it very blurry. Somebody call this tune quick before Joe starts thinking he is a genius or something. (nyuk nyuk nyuk!) )(I'm just a, well...porpoise.)(

not touch, not Bertha... nice guesses. Sken, I used to be a genius, then I realized it is more fun to be a 'fool' on the ship of fools... You thought you was the cool fool, and never would do no wrong... Heaven help the fool; guess I showed the sons of bitches Heaven help the fool, professional gimme-fiver... The wisdom of hypocrisy, the common sense of fools... Though I could not caution all, I still might warn a few Don't lend your hand to raise no flag atop no ship of fools... peace. by the by, I've been waiting for Gypsy Soul to try this round... she was the one who coaxed me into hosting this gameshow in the first place. ain't it always the way? just when you think you are developing a fan base, they skip out on you... the show must go on.

the easiest hosting site I have come accross is imagevenue.com you can even upload pics and post them without registering... go to their home page, follow the simple instructions, click 'safe for work' or 'not safe for work' as the case may be... copy and paste the new url into your post, and presto, the pic will appear here... easy to use, really. image hosted by ImageVenue.com "The highway is for gamblers, you'd better use your sense. http://img142.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=th_30735_oscar_122_544lo.jpg but with imagevenue.com, use the url that says 'Hotlink Image on a Website or Auction' for some reason on this board, it does not take the other ones... and it will end up looking like this shit at the top of this post... not the cool pic of Oscar. peace.
