GRATEFUL DEAD FARE THEE WELL CHICAGO TICKETS
Those in need (present company included) we need to keep an eyeball on this one. Divide and conquer? These are GDTSTOO tix. Field, every evening. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GRATEFUL-DEAD-FARE-THEE-WELL-CHICAGO-TICKETS-/3…
lends a sense of elegance and grace.... :-)
re tfonts divide and conq.
I will join in for 2 Saturday on any 3 days/pkg you get a bite on as long as its not obstucted.
Good luck to MadSwan, tfont, properlejdi and ASL
Good luck you all on the divide and conquer Ebay sale. I intend to wait for a bit longer. Try to relax this whole thing is way more stressful than it used to be. My heart raced every time the seconds ticked down to a sale time. CID presale, TM sale, Dear Jerry Citi bank presale, Dear Jerry 9:30 club presale, Dear Jerry public. That is 5 near cardiac arrests while waiting for bits and bytes to come over the wire and show me success or failure. At least the Mail Order was not a single high stress moment, just a series of days waiting for bad news. So watching an ebay auction come to an end and wondering if my bid was accepted would be too stressful. I do wish you all luck though.
tfonts ticket find GA
Guy wants $1000 a ticket. Nobody bid it up. Does not look like a reserve bid. Lets screw him!
@asl or @rrrrrrgrrrrrrr
Nice avatar ASL! Looks like a sticker, are you printing them? I've printed some GD50 logo stickers, 2.5" round to give to everyone at the pic-a-nic, would love one of these though.
@Tom Hanlon i'm with you
Too stressful to bid, I'm just waiting for my luck to come at me. It will come to all of us, I know it.
@tfonts re: ebay sale for Friday
I'm in if you've got room for one more. I won't place a bid 'cause I don't want to drive you up, but let me know if you're not bidding any more...
@ seeing red Love it, Too
It IS a nice one, right? But I can't take one ounce of credit. It's all rrrrrrrrrgrrrrrrrrrrr.
@ tom hanlon and tickets...
Couldn't have said it better bro....you are spot-on. And to be clear, my expectations are still low on copping any of these eBay auctions. I do know this - I prefer a GDTS TOO commemorative ticket, rather than a TM ticket (I think I can speak for all on that one). I also want a frickin' view of the stage (which I believe every GDTS TOO ticket will have). I also believe, as posted last night on the big board, that when tickets finally get sent out in June and arrive in people's mailbox, that there will be a flurry of ticket sales during that time period. So, I've concluded that yes, there is a price for "peace of mind" by securing a ticket during the next 8-10 weeks, but patience, as always, is a virtue.
Tickets and Dead Covers
I enjoyed the Dead Covers Bracket also. My first choice was "He's Gone" by Alice and her gang. I also liked The Lower Companions "Mississippi Half-Step" and The Play Dead "Black Throated Wind." For the record, I am hoping for a ticket for at least one night - with a view. Ideally a MO ticket. Depending on the cost, I will hopefully then have a ticket to get in the building to miracle to somebody. Welcome SoCalDeadfan! Nightzzzz
G'Nite, Stella !!!
...just had to say that - has such a nice ring to it, doesn't it? :-)
HEY NOW ASL....
This morning's mail to you BOUNCED !! Message: mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded
Update re eBay ticket sale from yesterday...
Hey now peeps: Yesterday I posted an eBay sale of interest for us. The initial $ 0.99 starting point for these four (4) alleged GA-Field GDTS TOO tix is now a still modest, $ 405. The seller has like tix for all three shows. The auction has two (2) days left. I sent him/her the following e-mail this morning. Trust but verify gang. Let's see if I get a reply. Will advise. Dear lakedrive101, Hi there: I represent a group of folks from dead.net. We are interested in buying all of your tickets for all of the shows. Can you answer the following questions please: - are these, as you state, GDTS TOO mail order tickets? - If GDTS TOO mail order, can you please provide a screen shot of their e-mail to you validating your lottery win with their batch #? I ask you this because your ad mentions the option of a TicketMaster transfer which is simply not-applicable for a GDTS TOO hard ticket. - You indicate these are "GA-Floor" seats. Are these, via the original Soldier Field seat map, the PL4, $99.50 seats? - Are you a deadhead? If not, no need for your reply. If so, please respect the spirt of our community. We'll pay significantly more than face, but we can't produce for you a wheel barrow of money. Thank you for your time and consideration. Rise and Shine
(rooster crows)Only 100 days until showtime! Patch those sails and shine those rails!
The 100 day milestone !! TY Totem - love those daily updates dude !! CHEERS !!
Update to my eBay ticket post...
Well, the dude replied to my emailed questions with the simple words: "Good luck" Then I replied asking, "So that mean you opt out in answering my questions?" His reply: Correct. Not interested. See folks? Trust but verify. What a jackass. Hope some trusting head doesn't get taken for a ride.
Sorry about the bouncing Emails...mailbox was a LITTLE full (not emptied since, like, 2012). We're all good now! Oh, and BTW, thanks for the Ebay information. Trust but verify... So awesome that an already-difficult situation has to be made even harder. Have a good day, All!
Ebay Scum not answering questions..

Hello, I must be going !!
hello, hello !! sorry to be so absent, but work is in-freakin'-sane right now. Keeping up with the e-mail correspondence, and all my duties fulfilled, so far. 100 days and counting !! (maybe totem oughta change his handle to LittleRedRooster :-) ?)
I also reported it to ebay as a fraudulent item. If they get back to me I will let them know that the seller does not have the item he is selling and is selling speculation.
Ebay standards of professional conduct
Ebay prohibits selling items that you do not have in your possesion. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/event-tickets.html They say "I agree not to sell .. tickets that I do not have in my possesion"
SSDers group: crazy crazy night, and week
SSDers...I probably owe you information or something...it has been a crazy several days, both professionally and personally. I see there are dozens of unopened emails in my inbox, which I won't get to until probably at least tonight. I am not this unresponsive as a rule..if there is anything critical needed from me now, please poke me.
So glad you made...wtf where'd you go?:-)

DSO July 2/3 in Chicago
Dark Star Orchestra just announced shows July 2,3 at the Vic in Chicago. Most of you are probably familiar with them. If not - they (usually) replicate historical Dead shows and they're great. Every once in a while they perform their own original set lists but they're mostly Dead tunes with a few other covers mixed in. John Kadlecik (Furthur) got his start with them. The Vic is an awesome venue. I saw DSO there a couple of months ago and as always they delivered. They did a Chicago show from 1976. Tickets are usually easy to get but with the July invasion they'll be tougher. Tickets haven't gone on-sale yet.
DSO, which leads me to the next question
How many estimated-Eyes a day is too many? Closure is good. I'd rather go get a slice or be a monkey on ecstasy. moe anyone? moe might just be the right counter-balance after a long day of Dead.
On other activities
Totem and Family: Anyone want to make a list somewhere? Moe Grateful Ball After Fare Dark Star Talking Pink Fish ....
Did I get it right.....there is no us....as in Sunshine Daydreamers...without u...My best way to apologize for misspelling a sisters name.... My plan is dead x3 and explore other musical and artistic scenes, while all those are excellent options.... No one does it better than the Dead! Stella STELLA....love to say that.
Stella, Funny you say that. I was making a table of after shows at work today, uh, during a break, I planned to send out I left it on my work laptop, but I can send it out early tomorrow for inputs. Sound good?
Totem - perfect. I forgot DSO. I'm sure more and more will be popping up, so I'm real glad that you're on it. Also it's Pink Talking Fish :) rrrgrrrr - OCD or none, nothing wrong with writing the name of a band, or spelling a word correctly. I too honor the alphabet. I respect and revere my given and unusual name (Chandra), but Stella sure has a nice ring to it! Thanks family. ps. un-dead but Chicago-weekend related - I will be looking into the possibility of Blues and House music (both very Chicago related). If any of you have a line on either of those, please PM me or otherwise drop me a line! I may only have enough bandwidth to do all of the Dead related things plus probably the Art Institute.
Thursday night in Chicago - 7/2/15
GM SD'ers !!! Hey now, for anyone interested and getting into town the day before the shows, rrrrrgrrrrr and his wife, and my wife and I will be heading to The Kingston Mines (a classic Chicago blues club). Given there will be three wonderful days to Let the Music Fill the Air from Friday to Sunday, Chi-Town is one of the blues meccas in the US so why not take in some or the local color, right? http://www.kingstonmines.com/ Note: AND TO THE RELIEF OF MANY OF YOU....I AM NOT ORGANIZING A FIELD TRIP FOR THIS :-) (but if Totem attends, we may have a 2nd daily event countdown!!) PS - if any of our local Chicago peeps have another or better recommendation, bring it on please.
