By request, a gathering spot for Chicago-bound folks to connect and plan!
I had a cup of that dark roast and some kind of panni or some damn thing this morning, I don't like what it does to me, feeling like a stranger
Hey Boo Boo redux...
You know it's gonna get stranger...so let's get on with the show.... Avoid the kinky paninis .....it's Canada's plan to take over the US of A..... Dude you changed your typo....

Mayor Klangstone secretly has 75 3-Day passes stashed in his office.
I am currently a horse with no name...I hope that's good.... and a special STELLA, STELLA....to you know who.... so glad you made it today..... So Mr. mayor where's the tickets at..... Mr. t wants to know..... I don't like Mondays, but today was not awful......
Hey now from 34K'...
Top of the afternoon peeps (literally). Nothin' like some in-air GoGo wifi.....(no, rrrrrgrrrrr, not that kind of Go Go....). Okay..... so no one laugh, but I just saw this Hall and Oates concert from Dublin from last summer here on the flight. Holy shit - frickin' amazing and brought back great, great memories of their catalog of hits. Highly recommend it. Could never figure out how they were friends of the Dead but I do remember them opening up for them on the 9th of 9 straight nights at MSG in when was that?? '89? '91? Anyways, here's to hoping all the beautiful Sunshine Daydreamer's had a wonderful start to the week. Cheers !!
I'm Not Gonna Laugh
I had one of of those moments too. I never paid much attention to Hall & Oates other then when they were on the radio where ever I happened to be. Then I stumbled upon a show called "Live From Daryl's House" with guest Joe Walsh. Wow!!! Joe Walsh is always great, but I saw a side to Daryl Hall I never new existed. He was amazing. Same thing when he had Billy Gibbons and Todd Rungren as guests. This is a series he has been doing for seven years or so. They take place in a private studio he has put together. Best place to begin looking into this is Wikipedia.
@myself aka James aka Mr T......aka Buckwheat da clown...
Why do I still see me as you? BTW Hall n Oates are the best for make out music.... and the song Diddy-Do-Wop is the best white philly soul ever created.... And now directed at the female contingent representing here... .....it's a bitch girl.....cuz you've gone too far..... Said that just cuz I could....love that song...... Night peeps....and T come home from that left coast safely......
Which T You Taking To???
There's plenty of T's around. I don't mind my musical commentary being mocked cause I got big big trouble on the way. The mayor will be getting home from work soon and he's gonna find out I ratted him out on his tickets. I should have thought that one through. Nowhere to run nowhere to hide. What's for dinner?
Yes it's me...
...I'm the Pride of Cucamunga! YEP. Holding ALL the remaining 3-day passes in my orifice alright. Yes I am, must be patient and wait until June then I will relieve myself/release them all to the kind little deadheads with their Easter baskets to find them. But don't look too early... RRRGRRR is watching and he will run you over with the bus if you look too soon! Must be patient!!!!
Live at Daryl's House
Gotta see the LADH with Todd Rundgren --- kickass!!! They have basically the same voice anyways, listen to them harmonize, WHEW! It's actually at Todd's house in Hawaii...
@my alter ego....
You n me got humble pie..... 30 days in the hole.....or 4 day creep.... Love me some Steve Marriott....and early Frampton..... The Klangmeister...he got some tickets to produce....a lot.... Tfonts....he's the dude with flowers in his hair.... If you're going to San Francisco... Ok gonna keep it straight....pun intended....not that there's anything wrong with that..... Somebody get me a doctor.... Van Halen is touring this summer....
There you go talking to yourself again...left brain -- meet ticketless right brain.
@the dude that's been to Reno and Cherokee....
pay your child support, mind your own business and most importantly....give me back my bullets...ahhh...$20..... I got it...yeah it's in Utah, in the cave in the hills... Party on...NCAA.... Duke...For me
We don't need no stinking badgers.... Brah... It's all good, I'm rooting for Duke, because for all crazy ass reasons....when my daughter was accepted there 7 years ago, I refused for her to attend, cuz to me $60,000+/ year x 4 years was too much for me to handle and I didn't want her to be in that much debt....for undergrad.... Looking back it was the right choice....for us....at least.... She forgave me and we are gonna watch together, she's in town for Easter week.... Godspeed to Wisconsin...beating Caliperi was sweet.... Enjoy my friend...bet you $20.... Nah....on second thought.... I wonder who the Mayor is rooting for?
Back to $20
Enjoy the family time. $20 buys you a beer at the circus.
@amigo de Lucifer.....
Gracias pendejo.... gonna beat it on down the line..... rrrrrgrrrrr exit stage left even....... ;-)
Great Game Either way
The game is one thing, and the song is something differentOne's got nothin' to do with the other, as far as I can see Talkin' Bear Mtn. Picnic Massacre Blues https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Skae1GnJDiA
The moments that make up a dull day.... where oh where is Totes?
87 Days to go
1987 was a fun summer tour year. That China-Rider at Alpine sure was fun. Does anyone have favorite shows moments from '87? Patch those sails and shine those rails!
It was a very good year...
Fall tour east coast Providence>Cap Center>MSG>Spectrum Then I parked the Chevette until 88
Any Chance of Breakfast This Morning?
Missed dinner last night. Mayor Klanks got home early. Had to flee. I was sure I had a date with the hangman. But our most benevolent mayor saw fit to spare me. The snitch is alive for another day.
GM SD'ers !!
Totes, I saw the post but did I miss the countdown? rrrrrgrrrrr you are avatar-less but I'm guessing that's only for another 24 hours? You gotta feel nakie without it (oh my....that's one heck of a morning image - sorry, peeps). Make it a great Tuesday folks - and cheers from a rainy SF !!
pass that pot'o joe over this way, hope its stronger than that dishwater we got at Tim's yesterday, that stuff was so weak it couldn't defend itself
Not To Worry !!!!
As a long time collector of Mr. T related avatars, ever since yesterday, I have amassed a huge collection. Enough to get everyone by until July. More than glad to give him some.
What, Me Worry?
So we got a Tfonts who isn't Mr T, and a JMiller who isn't Mr. J? http://misterj.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013-header-transparent.png
All 3-day passes are half price (half of face value). But due to the recently increased taxes and SD forum maintenance fees the sales tax for each day's ticket will be 1000%. $300 3-day pass goes for $150 plus $1050 in taxes. 1 day only you can have nose bleed no view tickets for all 3 days at only 1200 per day! Today only...
You Can Call Me Al
Hey that's not some kind of Trojan Horse is it. I don't know where you got it, but that's not my picture. I sport a mohawk and wear a lot more bling than most people do. The telephone number is correct though.
with all due respect its ....
In that cave up there in the hills in Reno, that's where my $20 is... Mr. mayor, sir...aka Klangstone.... To quote Jimmy McMillian who ran for Governor of New York 5 or so years ago.... "The rent is too damn high!"..... @amigo de Diablo....sorry about Wisconsin.... But ya gotta hand it to Krizusky....ala Jim Rome.... feel like the invisible man here.... Look in the mirror and all I see is T!
Let's Go Duke
Glad to see my Blue Devil's won last night. Graduated in 83 and was there when they hired Coack K. We were not very good back then for a couple of years. Got to see Michael Jordan play in college. 3rd Dead Concert was 4/2/82 at Cameron Indoor. Volunteered to be an usher so got to see the show for free. After the first set was able to go down front and be done working. Still have my t-shirt I got that night. I believe that was the show that Jerry and Bob switched sides? Steve
hey brother, So glad you made it.... I was at that show, as well as one in the Dean dome on the far side of town think early 90s for the latter...always a good show in NC.... Love Duke Basketball, Hurley is our coach at UB... Laettner was a Buffalo boy..... If you follow the thread back, you will see my connection to Duke....btw did Easter in their chapel.... Makes me wanna sing Crosby/Nash's Cathedral....friggin awesome campus... Have a cup of joe, sit by the fire....want some combos? It's all we got left since the Mayor squeezed us for all we are worth....
Hard fought victory. Great game. I've always been a fan of Coach K. Like I said about the Badger last night; it don't look like me. Not mine. But I did enjoy riding with him this season. Alas...the $20...it's been in the cave so damn long it's deflated. Doesn't buy what it used to.
@red dude with horns...and a tail and his arm around a badger...
when it comes to sports...after 4 consecutive Bills Super Bowl losses.....I quit...PTSD.... wide right, Thurman forgot his helmet?, Kelly in rehab? TOO in Atlanta....that was the worst..... Sports are solely a diversion from life..... Offer condolences to the better half, and yes Krazewsky can coach me anytime.... Oh yeah, Ask the master of the house, keeper of the Inn for a tax break already..... Feels like act 2 of Les Miserables around here....
The Mourning After
My better half is over it. My 9 year old son...not quite yet. We Chicagoans love our Blackhawks. That's our diversion. The weather still sucks here. Craving July (3).
@Sweet Home Chicago
Patrick Kane another Buffalo boy is the shit!
