On August 24, "Tales From The Golden Road," the popular talk/interview/listener participation show on Sirius Satellite Radio's Grateful Dead Channel, will celebrate one of the Dead's boldest, best albums, the groundbreaking 1968 studio/live hybrid "Anthem of the Sun."
SIRIUS’ Grateful Dead channel celebrates the life of Jerry Garcia with nine days of special programming beginning August 1, Garcia’s birthday, and ending August 9, the anniversary of his death. “Jerry Week” will feature music from Garcia’s various bands and side projects including the Jerry Garcia Band, Legion of Mary and Old & In The Way. Garcia’s solo work and collaborations with Merl Saunders, Howard Wales, David Grisman and others will also be highlighted.
