Joined:Texas hat trick......Hey rockers!!!
Saturday morning in the morgue, busy busy busy, people are dying to see me............
Today's commute----San Antonio November 12 1971. Fine show, in the Bakersfield style, with a rather large Other One. Forget the radical chaos of Atlanta, this is where the gooey greatness of November 1971 really begins. All leading up to the really strong TCU show and the ethereal Austin show.
The Pig-less months of October and November 1971 are actually an interesting period in Dead history, they truly played some really great stuff during those two months. Definitely worthy of a deep dive.......
That reminds me----why haven't the Harding Theater shows been released yet????
In all chaos there is a cosmos, in all disorder a secret order.......
Rock on,

This and Dick's Picks Vol. 2 10/31/71 Columbus, OH are pretty much tied for my fav 1971 release. This Austin show is a very "Jerry" show. His guitar is up in the mix and you can hear everything just exactly perfect!! It's like sitting on a chair beside Jerry's rig/amp for the evening. Wow!!

Joined:distortion on 11/11/73 Big Riverweird but true...that show got TATTOOED (pleasantly) into my mind early on.
I can hear that distortion in my mind right now
just some issues with the sound system, methinks
it's not the recording's fault...it was at the show itself
