    Thanks for the hometown shout-out! The Coffee Break concerts at the Agora are legendary here in Cleveland. I was a little too young to go, but my brother was at a few, including Springsteen.

    Live 1973. I was at one of the shows recorded for this release - at The Free Trade Hall in Manchester. Very dramatic opening with Watcher of The Skies. I can also see them in my minds eye performing other songs that night - Suppers Ready, Get 'Em Out By Friday, Return of The Giant Hogweed and Musical Box. As I remember it the encore was The Knife, which went down well. I never saw them again, though.
    British rock music was very theatrical at that time - quite different, I think, from American bands. Certainly very different from The Dead's way of doing things. Maybe it was just the bands I happened to see.
