Grateful Dead

....what is Robert Hunters "Alligator Moon"?
Shelved planned release from the '70's?
Knights vs Kraken PF.
Who you got mister!

That was my upgrade and it sounds great.
.
I looked 2 days ago for the BFRSD list but it was not available.
I’m going to have to try for 2-14-68 and JGB.

....and asked what's all the hoopla is regarding my organ.
I plead the fifth.
Amazon Prime days is happening again. Snagged a Spin Disc vinyl cleaner for $65. Lowest I've ever seen it. Anyone here have any experience with them? Will it clean my organ?

Looks like they're going put our 2.14.68 on vinyl for Record Store Day. Which is kind of a relief AFAIC, because I already have the Road Trips CD so there's no need to fight the crowds and try to grab one on RSD.

I'm leaning towards that very cartridge as it has good reviews and is affordable and easily upgraded to the Blue just by swapping the stylus. Like Phil said, searching for the sound.
Cheers

Can we please stop playing around with vguys Organ ; )

Never TMI about stereos!!
Think I have a Orotfon Red that came with my entry level Project Debut Carbon?
Not sure I have it set up vey well (you should come help me lol)
But I never use it as it’s like driving a Yugo compared to my Porsche digital set up!

Oh yeah, music
10/11/83
10/12/83

Tested my pile of phono cartridges using a known LP in VG condition. Long story short, still using the cheapo as it is a new one.
!st - Audio Technica AT-12 - conical stylus, best on worn LPs, overall winner as it is new
2nd - Grado Black - still sounds pretty good, low tracking force but a bit worn
3rd - Stanton 680EE - worn but tracks at 1 gram, sound is good but weak, lower volume
4th - Shure M44E - new stylus, killer bass, great mids, sibilant highs unfortunately, and then it crapped out during the test, made for tank turntables anyway so no loss.
All of these show amazingly little wear on the tip. I must have swapped them out young, likely in the quest searching for THE sound.
But where is my Empire? Sold it with an old TT? And especially where is the nicest one I ever had, a Sonus Silver Elliptical? That is the box all these were stored in. No idea where that one went. Too bad, likely = to something in the $200+ range nowadays.
I know, TMI but stereo is about all the fun I have anymore, lol.
Cheers

....all from 2010 after Trey got better.
Thank God.

Dennis reminded me I had these, so started at the beginning. Free music rules!

I got a Liver the size of a Butternut Squash!
