is the one I'm listening to now,
DaP 13 from 2-24-74 Winterland.
Funny how often that happens.
The Jim theory holds true!
Cheers
And this Dark Star is sweet. Smoothly goes from jazzy to quietly spacey seamlessly numerous times. Has some TOO leanings. And more! What a stretch into Dew! Another new favorite. - Birchwood
Joined:Dave’s Picks 2015 Bonus Disc!Sweet stuff! Getting swept along deep into the Truckin’ jam at Academy of Music, NYC, 3-21-72! King Billy’s solo is throaty and rolling, robust. The Other One here is a fiery beast, Phil in command, the whole band wonderfully in sync. Strange slow magnificent interlude before they plunge back down into the abyss, really hammering it home.

Joined:ABB The 1971 Fillmore East RecordingsNight #2, 3/13/71. Though not assembled on the official release, the first three from the first show are dead solid perfect! Statesboro -bam, Trouble No More follows One Way Out on Eat A Peach and Don't Keep Me Wonderin' was first heard on the first Duane Allman anthology.
The Done Somebody Wrong that follows is throw away because they decided the night before they were going to use the second show's version. And then the Liz Reed - no words. Tom Dowd pieced the first part of You Don't Love Me with the previous night's second show's version - brilliance!!! Whipping Post closes the first show - unusable lol.
A full-strutting Statesboro starts the second show followed by an early One Way Out - Duane ripps!!! Then the only Stormy Monday of the run followed by the Hot 'Lanta that precedes Liz Reed on the official release and the legendary Whipping Post>Mountain Jam. I'll not forget having read somewhere Dickey saying it was a good night but we've done it much better. lol Deadicated - Oroborous
