Joined:ABB The 1971 Fillmore East RecordingsNight #1, 3/12/71. The first show features a Done Somebody Wrong that rivals the official release! The Liz Reed that follows has that questionable tenor - it wasn't time yet. But You Don't Love Me smokes!!! The second show starts with three contenders for the official release, but it's Done Somebody Wrong that hits the note! The second half of the You Don't Love Me that follows a tenor marred Liz Reed features Duane's most famous note, Dickey killin' it and the famous "play all night" shout out. The following Whipping Post could have been used for the official release, but as we all know, the 2nd show from night #2 has the one. And then the first of two Hot 'Lantas. I love this stuff!!!

Joined:Heavy LiftingHey Doc, thanks for the So-crates reminder. Took Intro. to Philosophy as an undergrad elective. Figured it would be an easy, blow-off class. Boy, was I wrong. Spent more time with that than the classes in my major.
Currently listening to the John Mayer’s Grateful Dead Listening Party on Sirius. People really had a cow when Dead and Co. started. I think he fit in really well. He's a cool dude, and definitely talks like a Head. Check it out if you have Sirius. Sundays at 9 and replay on-demand. - Forensicdoceleven

Paperwork day, no dead guys for me. So today----Little Feat. Mainly the early studio stuff followed by live LA 8/28/71 and Paul's Mall 4/1/73. Some great stuff there. Saw them many times back in the day, while Lowell was still around. Always interesting and fun shows......
Next up---"This Is Just An Experiment" Department. Wanted to see how long I could go without listening to 1971 Grateful Dead. LOL made it almost a month so far, surviving on 1968-1970 Dead and lots of classic rock (especially the Floyd, we were huge Floyd fans back then)......
The way to gain a good reputation is to endeavor to be what you desire to appear.......
Rock on,
