Grateful Dead

People ask me all the time why I work after retirement. Here's what I listened to at my job today:
Finished Ratdog: Live at Roseland. Next was 7/3/66. The phrase Garage Dead comes to mind with this show. After that was Dave's 28 (6/17/76). And before I left work, I started this week's Grateful Dead Listening Party with guest host Mark Pincus.
I pretty much get to do that every day. That alone should reason enough to have a retirement job.

Always loved the shows where Carlos showed up he inspired Jerry. I believe it was the Blues for Salvador benefit where Carlos got down and bowed to Jerry while he was soloing in, if I remember correctly, Good Night Irene. Saw a framed picture of that moment years later in San Rafael on 4th street. Failed to buy it and still regret it. The look in Carlos's eyes was priceless.

Also, RUSH is apparently in talks for a Sphere residency. That'll be cool.
